well, my doctor hs done me a prescription for my back, although it is slowly getting better. He has given me a load of weak diazepam to relax the muscles which cause the spasms (and they also help with night cramps I find) and I asked for a painkiller similar to the one I can buy in Spain which has lots of codeine in it. He has given me Tramadol  which is really serious stuff pain wise. I've never taken it but I know it can make people feel really spaced out, I just hope it isn't as strong as morphine as I was once on that when very ill and I don't need anything near as strong as that. He's given me 90 of them!

Tramadol is very strong BB, I would recommend that you dont take the first dose until you have someone with you as if they dont agree with you then you have someone around. Maybe take them before you go to bed tonight if OH is home that is.
I once had really strong painkillers when I was about 19 and I picked a slipper up and started to talk into it:eek::rotfl::rotfl: ever since then I have been vary wary of them.
ETA at 19 I was about 6.5 stone so I could have been off my face with half a nurofen I reckon. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Spud - I didn't realise your 2 were the same age as mine...they're quite good company at this age aren't they?
Maz - I'm kicking myself - I threw away 3 pairs of grey trousers and 2 grey skirts last week (when I say threw - I mean put them in the recycling clothes thingy) Glad to hear you're sorted now tho.
Been gardening in the sun, picked another 2kilos of beans and manged to get covered in spiders - blugh.
Looking forward to a glass of wine and an early night - DH kept me up half the night with his spaced out ramblings (his pain killers)"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Thats hillarious.
Codene does really strange things to me...me not likey! I had to take it for my gallstone pain and the first time I took it I went to the hairdressers and then promptly fell asleep, well sort of spaced out kind of sleep. Sure they thought I was a druggy or drunk!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
