Morning all!
Feeling a bit groggy this morning as I didnt sleep well so am trying to wake up with coffee before I try to do any work...
Glad the washing machine is getting fixed BB.0 -
morning folks........
i have a confession to make.....
i am skint, and don't get paid until a week on wednesday and Erin goes back to school this tuesday.... and (this is the bad part) i haven't bought her a single new piece of school uniform or her new shoes or anything!!
This is very bad!!
To be fair she did get 2 new sweaters before summer as she was sleeves at her elbows on her exxisting ones...
time for a quick inventory of what's needed and get busy this weekend....
i may need to enlist financial help off big g on this one. I'm sure she has some unworn stuff in her wardrobe which her gran bought her but it was too big, it would be great if some of it fitted her now.... including the shoes....... fingers crossed!
Thankfully it's a sweater and navy or grey clothes and not a whole blazer uniform job like some schools.......I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Morning all-fingers crossed for the Postie Jacs!
BB-glad the washer will be sorted, but carp news re yr back. I got run over by a car (in Dubai) many years ago and bust my back up (and other bits) quite a lot-still gives me grief now, but mainly when it's cold/damp,so I know how you feel...
Gotta fly, delivering a waterproof bag of flares (not the trouser type!!!)to S Godstone station-left in my car by a jetski instructor accidentally last week when DH and DS did Jetski course...I see how it works, they do the fun bit, I get the donkey work! Oh well, c'est la vie!
Catch you all later, have a good day,SRM.Debt-free...and staying that way...0 -
Morning Everyone,
Just finished my coffee, think I need a second one. I have slept really "heavy" and can't get going.
I sympathise Maz. All we have coming in before the 22nd is 53.10, lol. I am going to look to see what I can ebay, but it probably wont sell before then.
I have had a busy week, so today I have to get on with some work. I am struggling to get organised for some reason, and I don't want to get to the "got so much to do I don't know where to start" stage.
Anyone for another coffee ?:DMy finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -
If there's a mini meet at Sammy's I'm only an hour away.
If I'm invited that is.0 -
Morning all
Bit of a fuzzy head this morning - my first red wine last night in 9 months. Me and OH sitting in the garden in the dark (midges weren't biting me for once).Haven't done that for ages - really nice. Thought we might see a shooting star or two but nah. Did see the strange 'neighbour' who walks his dog wearing red/blue flashing lights on his head and whistles tunelessly - he sometimes has a wander down our way to 'check things out'. Don't think he expected anyone to be out so scuttled off
Someone's posted me their old i-pod (:j) but it's full of stuff. I don't know how they work - can I delete what I don't like and keep the good stuff? been told that I might have to buy all their tunes from itunes site??
Hope everyone's set for a good day!

Hello All....... Haven't posted in yonks so I doubt very much any of you would remember me......... but here hoping

Well I was made redundent back at the start of June no notice just a letter and a cheque... really don't think it was handled in the right way but I am looking at it as being paid to leave.... lol I really had started to hate the job it was making me pretty depressed if I am honest... felling much better now though... So at the moment I am a unemployed single mum! seem really strange to be saying that seeing as I had worked for the past 13yrs!!! Anyway I am enjoying my first summer off with my boys and I am sure they are loving having me around at least i hope they do ...lol
Well I will stop wittering now...

Morning all!
@ Maz - Oh dear, let's hope her old clothes do still fit. If not, try your local charity shops. They're likely to have grey or navy clothes and they might even have the sweater.
@ BB - Hope your back gets better soon.
Yay, payday again! :j The Halifax card has taken a huge leap towards being paid off and I even made two charity donations on JustGiving to give myself the warm fuzzies for the day. Not much, £15 split between two charities but I figured I should actually do something for other people for a change. All I seem to do is work, sleep and eat (and not too well on the latter) lately. I figured I could spare a bit of money since I'll only spend it on junk otherwise.
I'll have to go home soon, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard here. It was James' dad's birthday last night and his dad and sister are pretty heavy drinkers and James isn't very good at saying no. So he got extremely drunk and called me at 3 in the morning because he was throwing up. I didn't get to sleep until half 12 to start with, was on the phone for an hour, fell back to sleep at 5 and had to get up at 6. You do the maths.
Talk soon.

Hi Jet - we've never met but i recognise your name
. Sucks the way they got rid of you but sounds like you're ready for a new start anyway - they have kindly taken away the worry and stewing that comes with notice periods. Maybe ! How old are your boys? Lose The Beef Challenge
