i think you are going to have to "go some" to convince this agency that you will pay off the arrears, and that you are "worth" continuing to house - as you have already broken your arrears payment schedule.
if i were you i would beg/borrow some money - sell some stuff - anything - to pay off as large a sum as you possibly can before the arrears court hearing
cancel subscriptions you dont need - cancel big tele contract - SKY etc - buy cheaper food - anything
the roof over your head is THE most important thing
take a friend wiht you to Shelter on Monday so they can make some notes for you
good luck0 -

again thanks for the reply, I apperciate people taking the time out to advise, even if your thinkin stupid b*gger behind the screen:D:D:D
first I agree with the sky thing, I dont really bother with TV but my hubby has most channels but doesnt really watch it either, I think it must be a man thing, is there any way of breaking the contract or getting out of it or making it cheaper does anyone know?
I have a car sat in the drive, which I was given in june but currently only have a provisonal licence, so thinkin will sell that, thats not going to be easy considering but I can always save in the future when we are finacelly better off to be able to keep one on the road
Its only a lil ford fiesta zetec, not electric windows, no working tape player but other then that great runner, would I get much for it?
Hmmm youve got me thinkin (rare occurance belive me, pregnancy has sent me brain to mush!)
thanks again0 -
Complete the Statement of Affairs I linked to in my earlier post and submit to the experts on the Debt-free Wannabe board. They will be able to advise whether the amounts on your budget will seems reasonable to a court. It may be you would be best to go onto an official Debt Management Plan and that the court will look favourably on you taking professional advice. You will have to stop paying the Sky - effectively at present you are prioritising this over a roof over your head.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Now you are scaring me with your optimism - that extra cash could just vanish on nappies alone! If anything, your budget will be more squeezed with the baby and you were unable to stick to the existing repayment schedule before!
Have a look at the Entitled to website and speak to Citizens advice bureau about your entitlement to benefits and allowances.0 -

I will be breastfeeding and we have gone for reusable nappies and bum wipes, not just for finacel reasons but because its something I believe in I am going as naturel as possiable!!0 -

I know you've received some useful advice from here, but considering the state of your finances, do you REALLY need a PC with a (broadband) internet connection?
Could this be sacrificed along with the Sky subscription to save a few pennies?
BTW, just call Sky customer service and tell them you want to discontinue your subscription with immediate effect, or with the minimum notice period. If you're paying by direct debit, call your bank to cancel the DD as well. If you're using a rented digibox, they'll want that back, but if it's your own you can still get free channels through it. However, if you do own the digibox, that can be sold for £30 - 40 maybe, along with the dish and the TV..... you could always become a radio listener rather than a TV viewer......0 -
You also need to see if you can change the court date on the grounds that you'll likely be having your baby at the time.
I assume both you and your husband will be attending the court....?
I assume you're not working, but what does your husband do, and how many hours a week does he do it for? Is there any scope for some extra part-time work for him?
Do you have any skills that would lend themselves to you working at home whilst waiting for the baby, or after the baby arrives?0 -

Nonetheless the baby is only going to add to household expenses - extra food, equipment, clothes. As you struggled to pay your rent arrears in the past without the child, unless you can increase your income and/or reduce your outgoings, you will find it even harder in the future.0
