Still not getting anywhere with this seller. Have emailed ebay and got bog standard letter back saying contact the seller! Am I likely to get 5 non payer strikes even though I want to pay !??

If you don't pay then yes the seller can give you 5 non paying bidder strikes. Personally I would just pay the amount you agreed, ie less the £5, just so you can resist any NPB claim that might come along.

Just make sure you have back up copies of the emails where you were offered a discount, they aren't binding on the auction of course but you might be able to argue with ebay that you acted in good faith should it get nasty.

    Oh bother, OK.

Um, have you tried both discounting the postage *and/or* deducting the £5 from the end before payment?

Just pay the full amount for the 5 items, then if you don't get an immediate refund when they arrive, leave him FIVE big fat negs!

Much more satisfying than a fiver!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

That's what I think it is too. It's certainly easier to do partial refund if you pay full amount, maybe thats his plan? Some replies are a little harsh, give him benefit of the doubt for now.

How much are the items each? can you adjust quantity you pay for?

Otherwise state clearly on the payment, ie on the note to seller bit that you are expecting £5 refund as agreed. Don't threaten neg feedback as this maybe considered against policy.

Bit confused by the people saying 5 negs/5 npb strikes, surely it was a BiN so it would only be one of anything?
