    Good Evening All :)

I haven't posted on here for quite some time, so please excuse my naivety :o

I am cooking for the in laws tomorrow (Mothers Day), and I am not the most advanced cook! I went to a local butchers/deli today where they sell meat that they prepare and you just pop in the oven. I picked up 5 large pieces of "Chicken Supreme" which is breast coated with some lovely garlic and herb delight.

My question is, what do you think would be best to accompany this? I have a steamer, so what veg do you advise? Also would I be best in serving boiled potatoes? Also, can I finish off with gravy?

I know I'm being very basic, but this is the first time we have cooked for our in laws in our house which we got 3 years ago, and I would like to make sure it's nice.

Thank you so much for your help :)

What sort of stuff is the garlic and herb topping - is it creamy or crunchy? I'm just trying to imagine what it's like to think what would go with it. :)
Back after a very long break!

hi i would do roast vegetables and either boiled or mash potatoes - i wouldn't do gravy as it will make the supreme's soggy

CCP - Definitely not crunchy. It is more creamy. Quite orangey in colour.

you could pan fry chicken to start with and finish off in the oven with the roasted veggies - will give you more time to chat away

roasted veg are easy - depends what veg you have but i do carrots, parsnips, asparagus, red onion and mushrooms - just steam carrots and parsnips for about 4/5 mins then put veg on a hot baking tray or roasting tin and drizzle with olive oil - put in oven for about 20/30 mins or until veg are cooked - if you do gravy just serve it in a jug and let people help themselves
