Reduced BT tariff for benefits

Does anyone know if the BT tariff that is reduced if you are on benefits has a minimum contract on it? I can't remember the name of the tariff, but I am concerned that if I sign up for it I may end up changing addresses within 12 months, which might get me in trouble unless I could take the line with me.

It's called BT Basic and there's a thread on it HERE.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • thanks. doesn't say in that thread, but there you go.

Yes. 12 months for the line, but the tariff can be changed if you cease to qualify for the discounted rate.
