Snap, had a great day today. Park & ride along with everything else seemed to go like clockwork, very well done Belfast City Council......
There's people here that would make 'whingeing Poms' look like the Osmonds...... :rolleyes:What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0 -
Does anyone remember the name of the web site of the display in the tall ships event in Belfast that was selling the hammocks?
The hammocks were on the W5 side of the Tall ships.
I wanted to buy one but did not haver the money at the time. Thought I could buy one online as I have the £40 now to buy one.
Can anyone help me with the web site or address of where I can buy one?
Thanks:beer:0 -
I went on Saturday as well and had a fantastic time!!! There was a real carnival atmosphere. The ships were absolutely amazing and the crews were very nice and patient with all the children having their photos taken with them
We went on the Cisne Branco and another one I can't remember the name of. We stayed all day, went from Custom House Square to Queen's Quay to Clarendon Dock. Some of the food stalls were from the continental market and very nice. We also spent a while in the Hilden Brewery teepee where the craic was great. At the end of the evening I got 4 punnets of strawbs for £1 from the fruit stall, very MSE! :rotfl:
Only one complaint from me - too many prams!*ducks*
Seriously though, there were a lot of people there with small babies and toddlers who seemed distressed by the huge crowds. I felt sorry for them.
All in all, it was a fantastic event and let's hope they come back soon!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Maybe next time they could bring them up the Bann into Lough Neagh and park them at Cranfield? wouldn't have to listen to so many McCooeys gurnin about traffic and £5 burgers.Well I Love Tv And I Love T. Rex, I Can See Through Your Skirt I've Got X-Ray Spex0

McCooeys........:rotfl:
The reason the stuff was so dear was because the Council slapped high prices on all the stalls. I know one guy had to pay £900 for the 4 days and won't be breaking even.0 -

Thats the real problem.... you can't blame the stall holders, they have to pay a clean fortune to be there so have to inflate thier prices to make it pay... but then the council did fork out about £1 MILLION to back the gig so supose they have to get the money back somehow too.... No supprise at the end of the day it's joe public who end up paying for it.... Worth paying for thought from what I've heard0 -
