Orange student package removed

I am on an Orange student package contract. I recently upgraded my phone.

My new bill shows me being charged for text messages when previously I would get 1000 for free. I phoned Orange and the girl said it's because my student plan expires after four years. I asked why I wasn't informed of this and she said "you would've been told when you originally joined up", which was four years ago! I don't remember being told of any time limit, and when I asked in Phones4U when I got my recent upgrade they said there was no limit on it and that Orange would just phone after a while to discuss changing the student plan to something else.

I can't find any mention of the plan in my contract or in the T+Cs on the Orange website. Are they allowed to just remove stuff from my plan without calling/writing to me to let me know?

Cheers.

The student plan only runs 4 years, if P4U didn't tell you, you should complain to them. It was all over the website when we started one for my son.

The computer would automatically remove the bundle from the acc 4 years after it started.
