  • Sorry to drag this one back up again....

My sister has had the credit card statement through and PPI is still being charged, how long does it normally take for these things to happen? They have acknowledged her letter but have done nothig about it!

    Hi there

Not to worry, its always best to make sure.;)

Please remind me how long ago your sister sent the letter?

They do have 8 weeks, if you hear nothing then your sister does have the choice of taking this to the financial ombudsman service (FOS), but of course you could always contact the bank for an update to see where they are on this.
    Good luck.;)

  • More good news this morning, the pay out on my sisters card is £1,057! Quite a result, Santander have also paid out on 2 store cards without putting up any kind of resistance and that was in the region of £350 in total so my sister has had nearly £2k which has helped with Christmas and also ensured she can pay off her overdraft before the new Halifax charges came in! Just HSBC to go now, they still haven't responded to the initial letter so need kicking up the !!!! a bit!

Thank you to all you lovely people!
