He might be watching England's poor batting score against Ireland or could it be some other recent numbers?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Just luck of the draw I am afraid.
Rubbish. This is something that should be and can be tackled. But too many people take pride and pleasure in a nation that eats it's own young - all so they can pat themselves on their back about how much their house is worth. The attitude of Hamish, Spiv et al is frightening and depressing. They take delight from the news that the population is expanding out of control and house building has plummeted. It's warped.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I may add, I do have trackers (tend to use for my ISA) and other managed funds but my true successes have been with the Shell and BP, Barclays,Aviva, Rio Tinto, L&G e I am up well over 60% this year on that bunch.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. i know a familiy with two cars - i'm going to speak to them tonight to let them know how you feel and suggest car sharing or selling one of their cars.

I take exception to this. HPCers have taken delight in people losing their jobs, having their houses repossessed, people going bankrupt and watching our economy get destroyed just so they can buy a cheap house.
I don't want the housing market to collapse because I don't want to see people lose their homes and jobs...what is warped is your attitude imho.0 -

They are attempting to apply demographic analysis to possible/actual future and past outcomes, can't see a problem with that.
What is the eating their own young, I thought the problem was, they were supporting them'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. I have some very bad news for you Stevie! I have Aviva shares in a single company pep and despite what Geoff thinks, I have to warn you I have the opposite touch to Midas where individual shares are concerned (Railtrack, Kingston communications, BT although to be fair Boots, Scottish and Newcastlle and IG Index did well. BUT Friends Provident was a mini disaster in itself, I bought 30k worth and was just waiting for the 12 months to get another 5% free shares when those planes went into the twin towers. I sold them a few years ago to lock in a capital loss to offset against the profits of a house sale to reduce my tax bill)Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Dont bother,
Just offer them medical care for their house. Becasue I'll probably come to that.0 -
bit peed off tbh. really stuck at the moment as what myself and many friends are meant to be.... surely with 1 or 2 average (for the area) jobs pr household we should be able to afford something....
i mean, dont get me wrong if i can never buy it wont be the end of the world, but im fed up of being stuck in the middle of what i am 'allowed' to do, if you see what i mean. it is like there is no worth in working unless you have a nice house and shiny cars to show for it- and i dont mean thats my view, but that it appears to be that of many in society
many debates (on dt mostly) have said over and over again about how its wrong workers abuse social housing- you shouldnt be in there on subsidised rent if you work etc- so its wrong to have a secure rent, and impossible to buy....
there are so many people that are disillusioned at the moment- i cant see more hpi as a good thing for anyone?
anyway, im not even sure what im ranting about, just depressed at predictions like 'house prices will not drop lower than febuary'
eta: sorry this is a all quite ot, probably better off on that social impact threadWe cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung
