That really shocked me. Hubby was asking about this site yesterday and asked what full time job was if this site was to help people......I'm going to show him the blog later so he knows!!!

Just so you know Martin, even if each article/interview/item you do just helps one person (which we know it helps more!) then that's alot of good karma coming back to you!!!

This site is my full time job and 25 others these days :)

Here's just some of them (the editorial team)

Call MSE Dan in the office and we discuss if we need to make any tweaks in the email for the second batch to be sent.

I always thought it strange that OH gets his weekly email the day before me.

How do you allocate addresses to batches? Do people in later batches lose out (continually, unless there is some rotation) on loopholes that get closed?

It does vary depending on what your email address is - we have problems getting through to some like hotmail or ntlworld (working on fixing it) so they're sent on a slower send speed.

Other than that its relatively random

Computer says no. Having analysed many search requests there is very little research to show that is what people want. In fact having done a brief survey in MSE Towers, we believe it would actually put people off & it wouldn't make Mrs MSE very happy.

Okay, just for that, I'm going to pull it back on-topic, with another question for Martin: you mentioned that this day was a particularly long one even for you, Martin.... what are your weeks like? Whats the shortest day, do you ever take a day off? Do you always work at getting two days off together (I'm self employed, and thats a bit of a mantra for me)? Just wondering .....

Im much better than I used to do in that I now try and take most of the weekends off. I usually work about four or five hours on a sunday (start about 7pm) and that's about it. There were some years where I was seven days but its not good for your health.

A typical midweek day for me is 10-12 hours, though tuesdays are usually 14-16.

I must admit I dont know any different, when I hear of people meeting their friends at 5.30pm it seems very alien on the occassions I try, I arrange to meet at 8.30pm at the earliest and that means coming straight from work.

The main thing people say about my work habits though is that I never stop. A twelve hour day means just that - 12 hours of focused work. I take my laptop with me for lunch and work while eating (sadly) if I dont have a meeting. I take it with me for coffee. I prefer to do that as it means I get to leave a little earlier.

REading this back - really doesn't sound that healthy!

Yike, no it doesn't. But I guess you're still young enough to cope with that for a while. And what you actually achieve, helping so many people, must give you a real buzz.

    Thanks!
