lol jesster you WILL have a no spend day if you like it or not

Hi D & DD not seen you for a while - dare I ask how the not smoking is going ?
I listed 10 books on green metropolis yesterday so fingers crossed there - am wondering about listing them on Amazon too
Today we should manage with what I already have baked and cupboard stuff. Dropped off some clothes at the charity shop this morning too.
Not really an active DFW day today but still doing better with my new lifestyle than I was a couple of months ago. Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
OOps a daisy, I reckon you can list in both places, as long as you remember to remove when somethings sold somewhere. Ive listed on GM and only sold the one so far, will list some on amazon this week I think too. If they sell in neither places, they are going in the bootsale box, just dont have the room for them at the mo! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
hello everyone

school easter holidays have now ended here & I've lots of catching up to do!
hope everyones ok
today I have done some paperwork, sent off tax credits form for last year, standard life voting form as I will get 188 shares if it goes through, my ds's free cinema pass application & family fund application & not forgetting sending off the purple straw that ds2 had in his Ribena carton as he has won a blackcurrant cutting! :rotfl:
Had some split pea soup for lunch that I made in the slow cooker overnight, sounds yech but it was yummy! just as well as I'll be eating it all week, theres so much of it!0 -
not a very good df day today. went to look round my new office today and was really early so went to the shop for some cleaning products that i didn't really need. Am cleaning my house because it is going on the market in the morning, I did do two and a half hours overtime so i guess it makes up for the spend. And i didn't buy any lunch.Mortgage free Start amount feb 2014 227000. Current amount nov 2014 217000.

dinkylou wrote:Well, after having a chat on here with Jaymz, I have found out that I can overpay more than I thought on my Nationwide loan.
I took myself off to the bank at lunchtime and paid another £500 off it. This brought the end date from April 07 ot Jan 07. It also means I can overpay more and get rid faster. Would never have done that in my life before DFW.
Very pleased.
That is so cool! Just goes to show...you were obviously told incorrect information in the first place....
Well done for being proactive..."Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0 -

Thanks Annie Fanny.
Yes, the irony is that it was Nationwide themselves who told me I could only overpay £100 per month.
So when Jaymz mentionned it on here I phoned them up. They said I can overpay any amount anytime!!!
Still didnt believe them so I called again - same answer.
Debt will go at least 6 months early (saving £50 in interest) MSE in action!!0 -
grrr...felt like not having a dfw day at all and going and spending too much- but restrained myself, which wouldn't have happened a month ago! Sent out apology emails to all in address book as virus took hold and sent out random email (got various replies, including my mother who had a big go about putting an apostrophe in thanks- it wasn't me and anyway  )
So took lunch to work and got a free bottle of diet coke while there which was nice. Arrived home to news that I have a refund in my credit card balance :j from a PSP I ordered that never came from mydv.com AND they refunded me the interest as well so pleased about that (was feeling cynical and expecting a fight over that).
Now going to get kids and cook huge meal to freeze some and take more to work for lunch tomorrow. Also managed to find a present for child's birthday this week in cupboard so that's money I don't have to spend

I am so impressed with myself today! I had to go to Tesco because I had absolutely nothing in to eat. Anyway, my week's worth of shopping came to just £12.02! I was sooo careful! And that includes dinners because I'm still off work this week.0
