Thanks for starting this today LA. I'm just catching up during my lunchbreak. Been at home for a feww weeks, off sick and then off with kids over Easter so I'm missing MSE every 30 minutes!!
I'm aiming to have a no spend day today and in true DFW stylee I have brought my lunch in to work from home; Cup-a-soup (slim one on BOGOF), salad with cheese and coleslaw, a youghurt and an apple. Very DFW and Fat-free Wanabee too!
Got the kids back to school today so an end to the stress that is school holidays. We haven't done too badly this holiday ... no major trips out or anything but generally spent more on food, Easter eggs and general entertaining. Life is so much easier when all you have to think about is the evening meal and with my DFW Meal Plan I know exactly what we are having each day!
Hope you all have a great DFW day.

*Mmmm - I just had yummy egg and mayo sandwiches, a yoghurt, an apple and a banana - all brought from home
*Scrounged chocolate from workmate (free Easter egg) rather than go and buy some to feed my chocolate craving
*Paide £12.68 balance off Mint card before accrued interest (had cleared this card, but paypal/eBay took £12.68 as a balance for eBay fees as I didn't have enough in my eBay account)
*Put on washing before work (I'm a bit of a lazy c*w when it comes to housework so this is an achievement for me)
*Abusing work email to write a couple of personal ones (rather than use the phone)
*Will be eating mushroom risotto from freezer tonight (batch cooked a few weeks ago)
*Sorting out opening Smile account tonight
*Listing 6 items on eBay turbolister tonight
*Painting up some eBay orders tonight
*Cleaning bathroom tonight
That's it! Lets see if it all get achieved!

Arranged my car insurance:
- Through Quidco (getting £20 cashback)
- With Direct line who now recognise the 7 years I've been a named driver on my mum's car so I now get 7 years' no claims bonus!
- Paid the whole amount with a 0% credit card, saving £30 off the amount it would have cost to do it in monthly instalments!
:money:Total Debt: Owe about £19,000 on credit cards plus £24,000 which is my half of joint loans.0 -
Been out for a fab morning with DD who is 7 and not back to school until tomorrow. I bought her:
new school sports bag from Argos using Nectar points - cost to me £4.99
new slippers only £2 from Priceless shoes and they gave her a little matching bag for free
Took her for lunch at Cafe Rouge using Tesco voucher - cost to me £2.15
Bought new table cloth £14.98 - cheaper than buying new table!
New book from Ottakers for dissertation I am doing - £19.99. Not able to buy this any cheaper from any online book store and no one selling it ebay. To pay for this and another I need (currently bidding for that one on ebay) I sold some old books on Amazon and have just received £53 for them (6 books) so the new books aren't really costing me anything!
M&S sports socks £5 nothing mse about these!
Still a really good day all in all!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -

I have blanched some cheapo veg (cutprice in tesco) for the freezer
Hopefully will be attacking the other compost bin today too..

Well, after having a chat on here with Jaymz, I have found out that I can overpay more than I thought on my Nationwide loan.
I took myself off to the bank at lunchtime and paid another £500 off it. This brought the end date from April 07 ot Jan 07. It also means I can overpay more and get rid faster. Would never have done that in my life before DFW.
Very pleased.0 -
When to sainburys and only spent £5.54 :j
Mind you only went in to get Potatoes and apples. Had no cash so used the 0% mastercard. Other wise would have used a greengrocers.
And I have come in 24p under my April Grocery challenge :rotfl:

I did the most DFW thing in the world ever. LEFT MY WALLET AT HOME!
Sadly it wasn't deliberate and I didn't realise until I was in the queue at Boots... but still...
It's the best way to have a no spend day!
