    This is twice he's fixed it, with me googling assistance. I bet you could fix yours, what is it doing/not doing?

    It is indeed. We were about to give up because we couldnt find the heating element, but I found a complete parts map online, and managed to trace the pesky bit :D

    It's cutting out/ tripping leccy everytime i switch it on.

    Sammy- I know who you are so i will add you hunny, I think you may know that jacs has absolutely nothing to do with my real name but i will send you a message with the request so you don't think i am some weirdo.


    oh in other news the cheque deffo went out in yesterdays post (nagged john enough to ring em again) so we are going to wait until the post comes and travel after lunch tomorrow, can't get in our van until after 4pm anyway so no hurry

    Sounds like something more serious than mine - turned out to have overheated due to fluff build up :rolleyes:

    Strange that it was OK before the boiler though, not both wired to the same socket are they?
