Item didn't arrive, seller refusing refund?

    I wouldn't say your seller was fab - quite the opposite in fact!

    As already said, it is the seller's responsibility to ensure you get your item and it is the seller who has the 'contract' with Royal Mail, so any 'fab' seller would have issued you with your refund and then sorted out the claim with Royal Mail themselves.
    Yes, agreed. This is what the seller seems to be suggesting. Surely it is the responsibility of the seller to do this?

    Paypal's rules state that items must be sent by an online trackable method, in the UK this means either recorded delivery or special delivery. So unless they have your signature paypal will refund your money. A proof of postage from the post office is not acceptable - Paypal will just tell the seller they have to make a claim to the post office.
  • Paypal definitely offer security if you use them to pay - as previous posts, escalate a claim through Paypal and let them sort it out for you.
