  • I've never found anything, moonbabe..Quite often I get nausea and stomach pains that make it hard to eat anything, but despite this I've not been recommended anything to ease this by the doctors..

PF- my doctor never offered anything to ease it, I had to push the matter but now get some stuff on prescription which does help. It has to be worth a shot, especially when it's as bad as it is for you :(
  • i had the awful version of that pair, hellokittygal..
Almost the same as the version above, but with the split toe between the big toe and the rest. Absolute agony, they were shipped from Japan about 12months before this pair became available, at crazy cost, and only worn once - evil shoes! :(

Thanks daisy, I will make a fuss at the docs on my next appt ;S

Yes, do make a fuss! If you want to go armed with names of possible meds, PM me, and I can dig out what I've had in the past :o
  • I suffer from it quite alot, annoyingly I seem to actually manage to worry myself sick. Have been prescribed Motilium in the past, after much hassling/insisting I wasn't pregnant/wasn't making it up/it actually was as bad as I was making out.

But as I know that on this occasion it is only through me worrying would quite like to try a few other methods before resorting to medicine again. Thanks for the recommendations, think I might make ginger biscuits this week see if that helps.

    Morning all!!
Does anyone here have wide feet? I do and struggle to find shoes that are lovely and fit. I'm eating some gorgeous dorset cereals museli! Pondering over an outfit for today..

I have wide feet and also find it hard to walk in high heels without feeling the pain, so this saves me £££s as I very rarely find beautiful shoes that fit me! :rotfl:

I hate having to take a pill for it, I save them for emergencies only or if it strikes at work.
You can get ginger sweets by a company called "the ginger people" which they recommend for travel sickness. Places like Julian Graves sell them and they are a little pricey, but I've found them effective (made with real ginger) and handy to keep in my handbag for when out and about :)
  • Ohohohohoh moonbabe! I've been wanting to tell someone my trick for months. Ginger is fantastic for settling stomachs and sickness, you don't have to eat ginger, just like a ginger biscuit, a piece of stem ginger, ginger muffin anything that contains REAL ginger not flavouring, it's a good send :)

Seconded, ginger tea or fresh ginger grated into hot water is fab.
