Enjoy your week Goan. What are you planning for the stairs? Something amazing knowing your taste :D

I'm pondering doing something with the v. ugly fitted wardrobes in my bedroom. Can't get rid of them (rented house) but I'm wondering if I could tack some wallpaper onto them or just plaster them with photographs?

I've sold quite a few books on Amazon in the past but let the listings lapse when we moved and haven't really got back into it since. It's not really worth it for more mainstream stuff, or any particularly heavy books but if you've got light paperbacks or any more unusual/collectable stuff then it can be a nice way of earning a few extra pounds. But basically I don't like to get rid of books unless they're absolutely awful so I keep the vast majority of mine now :)

    Caroline - fab tshirt!

Thanks, Alex! I can't wait. With the DIY project we're sanding down the tread part and leaving it as exposed wood then the riser bit's going to be covered in some vintage wallpaper from my huge stash. The walls will be aged white as a backdrop to more of my collection of 1950's kitsch prints!

With your wardrobe why not get something along the line of these:
http://www.dotcomgiftshop.com/set-of-picture-frame-stickers and you can pop some cute polaroids or post cards in them. I think Ikea sell similiar.
Are the knobs replaceable? Could you pop on some crystal cupboard knobs and remove them when you move on? I got some really cheap from a shop on eBay and they make even the most mundane of melamine furniture look better.

Ohhh that sounds wonderful. Can't wait for some pics!

I do rather like those frames. Have a trip to Ikea planned for when I get paid (want nice new bedding and perhaps another scarf hanger as mine is getting overloaded) so I'll check them out.

There are no handles on the wardrobes so I can't even jazz them up that way. Just floor to ceiling sliding doors in a rather yacky beigey shade :(

Those frames would be just the ticket then, Alex. You could also try collecting lots of black and white images and cutting them into identically sized circles then blu-tacking them on to the doors. Get me, Linda Barker!

I move out into rented accommodation this august/september with my boyfriend, we're still looking. I know I can't properly decorate it but I can't wait to have my own space until we buy in two years time.

I would love to move out of my parents house, *dreams of having her own space*

I'm failing at getting work done this afternoon :( the earache that kept me up all last night has returned in both ears. Blah.

    Where did the weekend go!?

Hope everything goes ok at the docs DB. I haven't had a chance to catch up with everyone - I'm going to busy today!

Good news - neice came off the ventilator yesterday and is doing well. They still aren't sure why it happened though, just putting it down to a virus.

We had a great weekend. Lazy day on Saturday with pub lunch. Yesterday hubby took boys to the cinema and I went shopping and got some fab stuff.

I bought a handbag (£35 down to £10) and a scarf from Top Shop with my voucher from DB, two tops from TX Maxx, t shirt from New Look and tights and vests from Primark. Bought hubby some jumpers and DS2 some t shirts from H&M. Nothing for DS1 because he doesn't like anyone choosing for him.

I'll update blog later. half term this week so I might not get a minute to myself.

Ooh I've been after that bag for ages! Last time I was in Topshop it was £18 and I resisted, I will have to have another look! I love it, but I'd never pay full price for one of their bags.

Arg, I'm having a totally demotivated evening..
Still at work, wasting time until boxercise this evening at 7pm, by trying to list my way through a huge bag of shirts my mother found in their attic and finally managed to persuade my dad that he would never wear again lol..but ebay's being really slow and i have only got through about 4 so far :S

Really just want to go home and sleep, so tired..but also feel kinda restless..Not good!
