These are just plain silver - admittedly I brought them ages ago as we were going to a party on a boat and I thought they'd be quirky but then never wore them for some reason. I was going to ebay them but looked at them this morning and thought sod it I'm going to wear them to work.
My plan is start adding some quirkiness bit by bit and people may not notice as much

Oh, Alex I love Mark Kermode. I saw in the Guardian that he was doing a few talks, lucky you.
Loving the sound of your outfit, Lost!
My cold feels even worse than ever, grrrr! Got two places to go this evening as well, a jumble sale (where I picked up armfuls of 1940's and 1950's clothes for 10p each last time) and champagne and canapes to celebrate 10 years of our town's award winning art gallery. Personally, I think I'll deaf the art gallery (can't stand champagne and don't think I can be bothered to glam up appropriately).
My outfit is the same as yesterday's at the moment (as seen on the top of yesterday's blog page) but I'll get changed later as I've got a pal coming round who describes me as her "fashion inspiration" so I'd better look inspirational.

I sometimes find that I enjoy shopping alone, but tend to only go for an hour or so if I do, and never usually try things on (I'm generally awful at that anyway)..But if it's a social trip, with nothing particular to search for, I definitely prefer to go with a bunch of girlfriends..
You should def go for the free bits and bobs and a look around for valentines, tea

I'm at home/animal-ing and cleaning all day but I have people in (workmen repairing the septic tank piping) and need to get DH's truck from the garage later....so might pull trackies on when going out.
but at home: footless tights....gold with lots of holes and runs in. These are THE best for exercise, when doing mat exercises you get enough slide on the floor to move easily, but not so much as to go skidding across the floor on your thigh. They feel dance wear chic (especialy with the wear...) but first time my mother saw them she said ''OMG, what's wrong with your legs, have you got an allergy?'' I could do with some more footless tights actually. I dodn't wear these for ages...memories of dance school, but now I love them for exercising in...I feel like one of the ones exercising behind who ever is leading the work out.
:o
Blue jersey shorts. These were from sainsbury's last year. Until I see my chunk I always think I'll wear shorts for summer chores. Over the foot less tights you'd think I'd gain something from the support , lol. Blue is a very unusual colour for me, my mother buys blue things for my sister and green things for me, so I always feel like blue isn't for me.
Sports bra (yesterday I exercised in normal bra and couldn't get my arms around my frontage...) with a black betty boop racer back vest underneath. Over the top I'm going to where my disreputable sloppy joe. It was once lemon yellow, but is now sort of dirty cream, both side seams are ripped, the front is stained and the back is holey.
I might pull my gold nikes on to complete this ''outfit''. Out side I'll wear boots though.
The weirdest thing is though I know exactly how this looks weirdly , it feels...good. Like as a kid in an old shirt dress of your mother you can pretend to be a queen in her coronation or a princess in finest silks at a ball, I am pretending to be someone who can wear footless tights under shorts and get away with it.
Oh: icing on the cake? I think I'm going to put some conditioner or oil in my hair later.....:D

Morning Ladies
So much chat to catch up on!!
Today I have a day off
Though I do have to stay at home to supervise the many builders/electricians/plumbers/decorators that have invaded my house today. We are getting all the snagging work done on our new build house, who would of thought new houses could have so many problems!
Was hoping to get lots of housework/more box unpacking/maybe something creative done today, but almost every room has someone in it!
Today I am dressing for comfort/expecting to get wet paint on me!
Faded jeans, New Look
Black longline tshirt, H&M
Black and white striped cardigan, Primark
Will probably slip on some white pumps if I get to venture outside today!Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -

I'm not sure I do...my old jumpers get used for animalling, which trashes them, and the sleeves get trashed...but DH might
