he just text to confirm times ;S i've been for dinner before with he and his work colleague, think i'll ask if they're both going? and if not, say that i don't think i'm comfortable with the situation..i've spent the last three yrs getting all manner of horrible **** from my ex's ex-wife..i'm not putting myself in a position where i have to go thru that again, however unlikely it could be..
Wise call IMO. Its not that their will b trouble, its that you don't the risk of it....new week, new life plan....only good things for you.
OK, also, are the battenburg earrings spoken for, and if not how much are they...?0 -
Thanks, LiR, and I've PMd you as I wasn't sure I was allowed to post about them..
I haven't yet worded my reply..I guess something along the lines of "I'm not really comfortable with the situation" :S If that annoys him, then at least I know it wasn't platonic from his side..0 -

Thank you
Is there anyone else YOU can bring along, then just saying ''x and y are going to tag along too. How about meeting at 7 by the popcorn''. I think then you've both been really clear about the possibility and the lack of it without needing any further clarification0 -
will have an ask around, and see..
however, he had planned dinner first, which i kjinda assumed would be the three of us as it has in the past, but i just asked and he said just us two :S0 -

Aw PF, and I was so excited about your date too!
Sounds like you've made a wise decision there. I'd drop the whole idea personally as (suspicious me thinks) it sounds like he has a hidden agenda and you deserve better xx
If you did want to go really badly you should invite his wife out, that way you've made it crystal clear that there will be no funny business, and you might even make friends with her too?
LIR - Thank you, that is so sweet of you to say. I have to admit the pictures are the best of a LOT taken until I was reasonably happy - you should see some that end up in the recycle bin, hurrah for digital cameras!
I have just been to Asda on a yellow sticker hunt and ended up by the jewellery, their new stuff is so, so good. I bought a pair of swallow earrings £2 as seen on "This is Caz" blog and am going to instruct DH to buy me something from the selection for Valentines Day.
Took photos today so will update blog later.0
