Lime and Poppyseed Muffins (I used Lemon instead though!)

    Makes 12
    175ml sunflower oil
    225 g plain flour
    1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt (I left this out as don't add salt to food Dylan is eating)
    225g caster sugar
    1 large egg
    1 large egg white
    150 ml milk
1 tbsp lime juice (I used doubleish as I ;like it zingy)
    1 tbsp grated lime rind
    2 tsp poppy seeds

Sift flour, Baking Powder & salt into a bowl. Add caster sugar and mix.

In another bowl, whisk egg, egg white, oil and milk. Then add lime juice and rind - stir in.

Add wet mix to dry and add poppy seeds and gently stir to combine but leave it lumpy.

    Divide between 12 muffin cases.

Cook at 190 degrees for about 25 mins.

OMG why oh why did I look at those links to theSchuh website? Once there I had to have a look at the IC shoes as I purposely stop myself going into the store because everytime I do I come out lusting a pair.

Have now fallen in love with these

Argh! I swear this website actually makes me spend more money than I save.

*steps away from Schuh website and starts listing stuff on Ebay!*

Good evening ladies, this thread moves fast! Didn't post yesterday as outfit was a repeat :o and was kind of scruffy anyway!

Monster shopping trip today, got some clothes bargains :D and some cute home decor too! Very pleased with myself, which is not usual, nor is me keeping the head when traipsing round shops for 5+ hours!

Wish I had a Primark near me, but it's an hour and a half bus trip away. :(

    Today's outfit:

Black and white striped long sleeve jumper (Ethel Austin, £6)
Black trousers with white pinstripes, altered (EA yonks ago)
Brasher gore-tex hiking boots (it snowed last night! :( specialist sports shop, £75)
Black cashmere socks (gifted, local knitwear company)
Black and silver asymmetric necklace with dangly tassel (found in jewellery box, complete mystery)
    Jet bead dangly earrings (mystery)
Blue and silver silk scarf (inherited)
    Black leather gloves (inherited)
Grey and fuchsia check wool coat (Asda, £7.50)

Make-up: adapted from Michelle Phan's autumn look tutorial on YouTube.

Just having a cup of chocolate flake tea to try to warm up and then might possibly break blog silence, as I have one set up and am merely too afraid to post to it!

How about either party feet or insoles? I tend to use them for slippery shoes with tights.

D'uh....I'd never have thought of insoles to solve the high shoe v tights issue...I just go bare legged (causing my parents to tut and mutter about ties changing and tarts under their breath when they see me).

    Which ones are good??

edit: I have tried gel insoles, a gift, in flat shoes and hated them, felt really insecure and like I was walking in dangerous oil :(

    Afternoon, lovelies!

Lots of nice chat on here today. I've been popping back and fro, reading up, working and reading again.

Can't say I've ever tried Primark jeans but New Look ones look terrible on me! Having had major surgery, I've got one curvy hip and one straight one. TopShop jeans are the only ones that don't make me look more deformed than I already am.:o

It's been snowing here today and bloomin' cold. One of my friend's has a day off tomorrow so an additional chazza shopping day for me, yipee! Still haven't got round to a major wardrobe sort out so better do that this weekend if I can tear myself away from the computer/sewing machine/pub.

Been wearing a bargainous Kate Moss playsuit today (£1 from TopShop) for Pilates and eBaying - it's up on the blog in all it's orange glory. Off for a birthday beer and curry with BF's oldest friend in a bit so better get cracking on rummaging through the wardrobe.

Speak tomorrow, have a great evening!
