Evening,
Daisy - bought the Primark dress from your last post, the one with the lace at the top, but no way does it look as good on me!
Think it might be a keeper though cos it's just soooooooooooooo comfy.
Goan - loving following your blog, can't wait to get down the chazza shops at the weekend and have a root around to see what I can find.
Standard office outfit today of skinny jeans, vest and cardi - belted the cardi though, a new tip from this thread. Gave a flattering shape to the normally shapeless cardi. Looked pretty good if I do say so myself!
Am eBay purchasing like crazy and this site has also sparked a new addiction to Soap & Glory stuff - where exactly does the money saving come in? :rotfl:

Oh, I wish you would start blogging, your outfits always sound amazing and I want to peep at your Tretchikoff print and the rest of your kitsch collection of lovely household stuff!
I'll eventually get round to it one day, when things are a little less hectic! I keep spotting things in your pics that look familiar, then realise I've got the same thing! I was looking at your kitchen blog post from yesterday and noticed the Lord Nelson storage jar - I picked up three of those the other day in a charity shop, but with Tate and Lyle sugar bag designs!
Find of the day - an amazing embroidered oriental-style vintage man's dressing gown, sort of long smoking jacket style for £1.50. It's a heavy satin so I'm wondering if I can get away with wearing this as a jacket in the spring/summer, maybe with some slightly cropped trousers. Will have to see.
Anyway, time for a good long soak in the bath. See you all tomorrow.0 -
Ah yes DB I really love the grey jumper dress too. Lots of chat about Primark lately gave me the urge to go. They had some amazing stuff in, this time though my purchases were structured around what I already had, what I knew would suit me and last a few seasons. So really very MSE!!!
BTW - I'm loving all the new blogs. I am still trying to get my head round who everyone is so even though I don't comment much I am still reading! Caroline (I think) You have a fab figure but the last dress swamps you, is it too big or maybe just too long, or it could be the photo? OH and I'm a MS too, only way we get to eat out these days.
DH is watching some awful war film on TV so am hoping someone else is up for a chat!0 -
You guys are so chatty these days! Cannot keep up with you. My blog takes up my entire evening so am just shuffling on to say hello and goodnight. I am currently wearing black joggers, a grey vest and grey cardigan - sexy!
Hope you're all okay, apologies for the absence. Am going to check out Queen's blog now. 'Citing!0 -
Vicki I love all your new purchases! So colourful and cheerful - you look lovely in them

I tend to use those Boots £5 off No7 vouchers for my nail varnishes. No7 have some really nice classic (and a few funky) shades and if you use the voucher they're only £1.25 or something like that. The Barry M range is great for cheap and cheerful shades. I love the pale green glittery shade they do but it's a flipping nightmare to get off, even with a base coat underneath.
I'm seriously considering a blog. Will people come and read it if I do start one?
I do read everyone's blogs by the way, just haven't worked out a way to comment without signing up to the site. Here's where someone comes and points out that it's incredibly easy to do and I'm being a fool :rotfl: 0 -
Same here! Sometimes would really love to comment - just too lazy! Alex, I'd read your blog. I love reading them. I think I'm just nosey!
I love Boots and really miss the Bootsing thread. I'm really tempted to do a blog but have the following reservations:
1. I wear the same outfits on a 4 day loop!
2. I don't need another excuse not to do important things like housework or ebaying the growing pile of baby/small boy things.
3. My writing style is pretty childish and might make me look stupid!
Saying all that, all the new blogs are really making me think again...0 -
I'm also thinking of setting up a blog although it won't be just about fashion but more than likely be a kind of anything goes kind of thing. I keep reading through the ones of ladies on here and thinking it may actually make me rediscover things that I love.
In fact I might even set one up tomorrow while I am motivated to do it!
One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Not sure about the commenting alex but I would definitely read

And congrats on the new blog, queen, I shall have a look in the morning when I'm back in the office and not on the daft iPhone ! (technology and I are just not getting on at present!)
hmm, very mse about mixing nail colours, vicki, but unfortunately one of my sisters (the goth one) has pilfered all the black I had..think I shall be borrowing it to try out, and if I'm still smitten, shall add it to the wish-list for the end of the month (see, all part of my resolve to think more carefully about what I need to buy) and despite having a clear out of my nail polish collection recently I still have lots of other colours to choose from.
GG I agree, the place certainly seems more chatty recently, I for one like it
Jaq, the jacket sounds lovely, perfect for spring! And just think, if you did start a blog, you could show us
FS do start one too! Ooh so much to catch up on!0 -
Shazza, I've just been mooching around looking at various blogs and came across your photography one. Wow! I love those snowy pics
If only I had a modicum of your skill, I'm much more of a point and click kinda girl. And judging by the terrible pics I've taken of myself, I'm not even doing that very well at the moment! 0 -
Alex I'd read a blog by you!
And Vicki,
and well, everyone haha0
