I used to be the same about dresses, but then i came to the conclusion that my wardrobes (which have always been full to the brim) were full of pretty things, and i couldnt' possibly "keep them all for best"..when i'm shopping i get so drawn to cute dresses or sparkly things, etc, rather than plain jeans and tops..finally came to the conclusion that there was no point in having all these things if i was never going to wear them, so i decided i could either sell them all and stick to jeans, or make more of an effort to actually wear all the beautiful clothes i love..i went with the second choice, and haven't worn / bought jeans since..

tete - i think the blazer look is good..i'm currently seriously coveting this !!

    Hello ladies

It’s been raining most of the morning for us – at least hopefully it will help get rid of some of the snow!

I’ve realised that in comparison to some of your outfits I always sound really boring. I not only want your wardrobes, shoes and accessories but also your figures. Being a short dumpy size 18 sucks

    I need a serious makeover!

Anyway – miserable rant over. Today I am wearing:

Red and White Polka Dot Top – Car Boot
Black Wide Leg Trousers (my staple favourite)
    Black Cardigan

Still in my trainer shoes due to stupidly slippery paths around work. Just a small pair of triple diamante drop earrings today.
One day Rodney we'll be millionaires

Yes! I have this problem! And don't you find that the ones they decide to include in the 'Tall' ranges are the ones you hate?

Always (and I feel short compared to you two at 5'10!) :rotfl:
  • Yep, all the time. It's always the frumpy mumsy ones in the tall ranges. It's as if they think tall people must have no sense of style at all  And don't get me started on size 9 shoes... ugh. Average people have no idea how easy they have it!

eta - no offence to any average people :P I just mean you're lucky, you have a lot of choice about where you shop.

Or they put completely pointless things in like vest tops - it's things with LONG sleeves we need help with  I'm lucky that I have size 8 feet so no trouble finding shoes really, except in the sales when all that's left in an 8 are clod-hoppery manly horrible things!

Yay, I love the positivity of the wearing of the pretty things! That blazer is lovely, but a bit expensive for something that's only a jersey fabric :o

*wishes she was tall* actually, having said that, maybe i don't based on the issues mentioned above..but have always wanted to be taller

ETA - *also wishes it was payday*
  • PF thanks to you I'm now trawling the topshop site  this is very like my jacket, and they're calling it a blazer so I guess I'm ok?! :D

that is cute! yeah, i've been having blazer issues also, saw a cute blue one in tesco before xmas, and was quite tempted..however, regardless of which size, i just ended up looking like i'd borrowed a man's blazer..which got me thinking........
    i love this Velvet-Boyfriend-Blazer-Smart_E18508C3.jpg

(was on topshop site but now sold out) but my best friend (and ex) has a VERY similar vintage one...
    - which is now in my wardrobe and saved me £80
  • I got a fitted dark blue velvet jcket from H&M ,about November I think. It's gorgeous ,may be worth checking there, though it's not strictly a blazer.
  • Pirate Fairy I've just had a look at your blog - I'm so copying those cookie monster cakes!!!!! Amazing! Nice one on the freebie jacket too :D

and yea, partly positivity, partly running out of wardrobe space before i moved out..still a problem now that i have an entire room of wardrobes :S

and i decided the same applied to shoes..
    IC
all of which i loved too much to sell, so boring shoes are out (except for currently when the weather calls for flat boots - gaaah!)
