I can see that escorts could provide a useful service but lets not window dress.

Think of the situation of a male who ,perhaps for various reasons, might not otherwise experience the closeness of a woman.

Think about someone who might be disabled, housebound or various other situations.

Should such people have to accept that due to circumstances, they may never have sex?

I guess it applies to females as well.

In effect ,do we now have a right to sexual experience even if it must be paid for?

I think for some people the answer would be yes. There is a very blinkered, unfeeling attitude towards this topic a lot of the time.

Many people would simply say "Well why don't you go out and get a girlfriend?" as if it's as easy as nipping to the shops for a pint of milk.

Men and women have been having sex for as long as we have been on this planet. Im sorry to be basic here, but men go out and provide and women look after the home. Men look after their woman, buy them gifts, clothes etc and generally romance them and women reciprocate by making themselves 'available' so whats that if it isnt paying for sex in one form or another?

Sex is a physical and emotive need between humans - fact. If you are not in a relationship for whatever reason why shouldn't you hire an escort? or should you not pay for it and become increasingly sexually frustrated and 'wound up' because you are not 'getting it' ? consequences will arise depending on the individual concerned...

As long as both parties are ok about it then why not?

I know plenty of escorts who are successful businesswomen, they don't have a drink or drug problem, who knows if they have psychological problems, but they're not doing too badly, owning their own house, driving a flash car!!!

I haven't read all of the post but I am shocked by how narrow minded many people are. The truth is most escorts do offer sex, but it is not necessary. My partner works as an escort as a suppliment to her teaching pay. She is smart, attractive and funny. She makes good money and never has sex with her clients.

Most of them are either lonely men (both married and unmarried) who just want company, or single men who want a 'girlfriend' to take to a (usually work) function. Most of my partner's clients are now regulars. She works infrequently, usually a couple of jobs a week, but could have a lot more work if she wanted it.

I believe that all or most of the other people employed by the company she works for do offer sex. It might be worth phoning and speaking to escort agencies to find out if they offer these kind of services, but don't pay anything up front. My partner had to have photographs done to put up on the website, but these were paid by the company.

Prostitute - someone who will for a sum of money have some type of sexual intercourse with the paying party.

Escorts - I have some friends who escort of the non-sexual variety. They make very good money at it and have "repeat" clients. Men who want no strings arm candy for a function where frankly it's easier than constantly havign to dodge the "So Bob - isn't it time you found a new lady friend?
