No, i dont know anyone. None of my mates know the first thing about computers either so even if they did have one they probably wouldn't know they had it!! Is there any other way i can resolve it?0

Do you have a recovery disc (often branded from the PC manufacturer)? Perhaps boot up from that into Safe Mode.0

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago.
I opened up the boot menu (hold down one of the F keys) and disabled all hardware apart from the harddrive, mouse and keyboard. That allowed me to get windows running.Happy chappy0 -
I tried to open boot menu (f8) and it then gave me two options but cause I didn't understand it I didn't take it any further.
I didnt get any disks with it.0 -
^^Did one of the options say something like 'Recovery Console'?0

the two options are: LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160PS
and ST3802110AS0 -
There's another menu of some sort. It flashes up the F key for it when the PC starts. It allows you to configure where the computer boots from, what hardware is enabled etc.Happy chappy0
