Withdrawing funds from Paypal - help please

Hello

My first post here, so apologies if this is covered extensively elsewhere (feel free to post me the links)...

I have a balance on my Paypal account from eBay trading which I want to transfer to my bank account. However, when I go through the process to "withdraw funds" and enter my account details, the site tells me I have to fax them a copy of my bank statement (to the US?) showing the two small amounts they've deposited into my account. But as far as I can see, they haven't put anything in - maybe it takes a while, but I tried it about a week ago and nothing happened.

Anyone else had problems - and why should Paypal not "recognise" what is an ordinary current account with a major bank?

It sounds like you have not actually verified your account. If you have not there are limits what you can withdraw (you may have reached your sending limit).. Have you a uk address? Click on to the link to verify your account (it should be easy to find) Paypal will then deposit to small amounts into your account. Which you will then have to enter in your paypal account. This will lift that limit. It takes about a week to do. Any transfer from a paypal account can take a week or so to hit a uk bank account. FAQs HERE

Thanks for replying - have done the Add Bank Account thing, but I get this message:

"This bank account is disabled for entry into the PayPal website. Please add a different bank account instead.

If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driving licence or other photo ID. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780."

I'm not entirely convinced it's going to deposit the small amounts, as I did this same thing about a week ago and still nothing has appeared... Not sure what I can do really

Nope - .co.uk as far as I'm aware...

Actually, correction: when I log in it appears to take me to "paypal.com/uk". Should that matter though?

I haven't, but I'll probably have to now. Thanks for the contributions anyway.
  • [Not the OP BTW] but another question:

I want to withdraw money, but may need it in case of refunding any buyers. I need to purchase something as well, which needs funding via cc as large amount.

Can I transfer it to another pp account (myself - personal) - is it allowed, or will Paypal flag my two accounts? (don't know any friends and family have no pp accounts)

Funnily enough I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this one too :) I do have a second PP account, on which my account is verified, and I thought if I could transfer the balance from one account to the other it would solve my original problem...

Whereabouts on the page is the button to do that? (if that's not a silly question)
