Looking at a couple of PCs, just wanted feedback on whether you think it's a really good deal, or can suggest alternatives at the same price point!

Well its a powerhouse but think some of the hardware might be wasted. Good price though.0

I'm thinking of it as a base system to upgrade with over the next couple of years - I know the i7 isn't the latest model as such, but anyone see anything that could be better for the same price? Also, would you go with the Base unit or the Package?0
-
On both I'd replace the asus MB but only cos I dont like them. And the package has some weird DDR2 memory, I can't undarstand with a unit like that they haven't put DDR3. I'd get the package personally.0

Didn't see that on the first one, the DDRIII on the second link sounds better I think. Thanks for the advice on the Asus.0

They're both not bad machines, the 1 at £799 is good with the sound system but its got ddr2 ram,0
-
Thanks, I'll see what they can do about upgrading it to DDRIII
