Last weeks goals.... have hardly done anything, seem to be having some kind of mini crisis... don't know how to get myself motivated again, but will have another go this week.
1) - Find somewhere to go for my birthday day out on Saturday that's fairly cheap and fairly close. Take a picnic to keep food costs down. Spent £36 between us - £20 on petrol, £10 on entry, £3 on parking and £3 on icecream and we did take a picnic. I'm quite happy with that as we had a good day out - first for ages.
2) - Save all spare change towards above day out. Yes
3) - Go to library. No
4) - List those bl***y books on Amazon or they go to the charity shop on 24th April! No, can't even be bothered to take books to charity shop.
5) - Order stock for business. No
6) - Continue with healthy eating and aim for three exercise sessions of 30 minutes each. No & No (managed one walking session, but diet has been shocking, have had takeaway, pub lunch, McDonalds, junk food and far too much alcohol in the last week.)
This week:
1) - Go to library
2) - List books on Amazon or take them to the charity shop on Thursday (when I'll be going into town.)
3) - Do a healthy meal planner for the week and try and stick to it. Also write down healthy snack suggestions, so I don't reach for chocolate/crisps.
4) - Send at least three job applications.
5) - Order stock for business and have a go at designing a logo (to go on leaflets etc)
6) - Keep wanting to go and splurge money as I'm feeling down, but I have a £20 voucher for dvd.co.uk, a £10 book token and a £10 New Look voucher, so must spend these first! Also have some birthday money, but want to buy a summer (blazer style) jacket with that.
That's probably too many, but I'll see how I do... :undecided0 -
Last weeks goals
1) For me to not personally spend any money this week until the main shop next weekend. DH may have some business expenses, so i'll try to limit him to that. failed on wednesday when i needed petrol, but i only put £12.50 in. I'd normally fill it. Otherwise i did OK.
2) work out what money can be transferred to savings over the next month, and then organise transfers.
success - transferred a chunk of spare money now, and organised some more to go out the day after pay day in May. I hope i will hit my target this way
3) find out when deadlines are for main job over may-june, so i can then get on with them early to allow for time to do my 2nd job
i did ask my head of department, but he didn't know either, so my answer is to start writing my reports anyway next weekend.
4) investigate train costs/times for me to go on a course in a few weeks.
didn't manage this. My situation has changed, so i will need to look into this some more
5) Take packed lunch every day this week
i managed 2 days. I went on a course so got a free lunch, but then needed to buy a sandwich, but only spent 65p. All other food was taken with me.
New goals
1) investigate train times/cost
2) eat very cheap (perhaps veggie) meals when DH is away working next weekend
3) clean bathroom
4) not use TD
5) tidy my desk drawers at work, as my head of department very helpfully tidied the desk for me by shoving it all in the drawers while i was off sick.
6) Try to find very cheap birthday presents for my nephews
7) declutter my living/dining room to prepare for my marking job
8) cook 'healthy' meals, ie. i must eat veggies and not stuff myself on choccie easter eggs
9) deal with any bills/mail as i walk in the door. (not leave to fester on the coffee table)
10) have a successful observation at work to meet my targets.
A lot of things, but hopefully as it is an easier week at work i may achieve it. Good luck everyone!!!0 -

1. Send off bank charges letter. Yes - managed this :j
2. Have at least 2 no send days. Nope, not a chance last week
3. Work out a meal plan for Hubbys for next week so that i can buy his food on Sunday and not use my 'pocket money' in the week. Sort of
