Hi all (lots of new people today :hello: )

Goals for last week (w/c 16/4/06)
    1. Two no spend days - 4!!!! [COLOR=(Edit: Has just sunk to 3 - OH wanted me to place an order for him and it had to be tonight...) It's probably an insight that I'm more annoyed I didn't stretch myself with a goal of 3 than pleased at getting 4!
    2. Transfer money from Halifax - yes, should land early in the coming week
    3. Drink a glass of water every time I touch the water filter ie fill kettle or saucepan! - yes, I've done really well on this one and have had less of the dreaded headaches :T
    4. Spend as little on food as possible - I think I've done well on this, but I needed to after lots of stocking up at the start of the month
    5. Sort something... desk, filing, clothes, whatever! - nothing definable, but I've had a reasonable week for housework and other chores
    6. Keep on-the-spot spending diary up to date - yes. I sort of feel I haven't, but I think that's distorted recall because I've only spent cash on two days this week
    7. Get off the bus a stop earlier - yes and no. I've only been on one bus, usual stop on the way in, much earlier stop on the way back so that I could take in the chemist to grab a prescription. I wanted to fulfill my goal on the way in but the cost would have been being late for someone, so I stayed on

A positive week overall then :)

    This week w/c 23/4/06
    1. 3 no spend days
    2. Check the Halifax transfer hits the A&L and distribute it appropriately
    3. Price check and compare utilities companies with view to switching
    4. Sort out front garden
    5. Carry a bottle of water when I go out
    6. Spend as little as possible on groceries
    7. Return Fastback library book by Thursday

    Good luck everyone :)

    Hi,
This is my first week of setting goals for the coming week, so here goes....

3 no spend days ( In until Weds so should be OK as everything here is on expenses)
    List 10 books on Amazon
Phone existing loan company to see what early payment fee is so I can transfer it to better loan rate
Only spend £20 on food shopping
Find out about mortgage PPI as I'm not sure what I pay and if I get do it cheaper

There - said it now - will have to do as I'm very competitive (even with myself!) and will be very p'd off if I don't manage it
    Have a good week

      Hello everyone

My goals for last week were:

      1. Have at least 4 no spend days now that there are no birthdays until the middle of next month. - I don't think I managed this, I forgot to keep a spending diary, will try harder next week!!

      2. List at least 10 items on Ebay so that they end a week today (including upgraded phone). - Didn't get time to list 10 things, I listed 5 items so not too bad.

      3. Clean out and sell 2 indoor cages in local freeads paper. Try to get £50-£60 for them. - Cleaned the cages but listed them on Ebay instead as I thought I might get more for them (will be a pain to post though!!)

      4. Post all Ebay/Amazon items. - Done!!

      5. Sign up with at least 5 mystery shopping companies. Trying to find other ways of making cash and I think I could fit in some jobs in my lunch hours. - I signed up with more than 5 so mission accomplished. Have been accepted by a few already but no jobs as of yet.

      6. Chase up work about upping my hours again to 37 per week. - Done, I start working full-time again from the beginning of next month.

      7. Aim to get another Amazon/other gift voucher from surveys to add to my birthday/Christmas present fund. - Done, I got my £20 voucher for dvd.co.uk through from doing a free trial so I have added this to my present fund.

      8. Complete AQA (internet research) test which I should receive in the next few days. Hopefully I can get some extra cash doing this but have heard it is very difficult to get accepted. - Done, sent of the application form and they said they would get back to me next week hopefully.

      9. Keep a spending diary for the whole week. - Failed, I forgot to do this and then suddenly realised on Wednesday!!

      10. Research into at least 1 other way to make extra cash on the internet. - Didn't manage this either, I did try to look but was busy signing up with mystery shopping companies!

My goals for this week are:

      1. At least 4 no spending days.

      2. List at least 10 items on Ebay so that they end a week today.

      3. Get another voucher towards my present fund.

      4. Keep a spending diary for the week.

      5. De-clutter room.

      6. Research into another way to earn money online.

      7. Attempt to win at least 1 prize.

      8. Compile a list of prizes that I would love to win (such a fun thing to do!) and enter as many competitions I can to win to try and win them.

I think that is it for this week, it is my birthday on Tuesday and I've got to have an IV line fitted on Thursday for 2 weeks so a good and bad week coming up.

Good luck with your goals everyone!!
