Because, believe it or not, it's actually against eBay rules to use any form of "electronic money" other than Paypal (of course).
This was as a result of a measure to stop payments by Western Union etc. but Nochex got hit by the fallout.
See the safe payment policy for details.
    Can I help?

i think you are getting confused. i use it. ebay have allowed nochex developers to build a nochex checkout system (that i use) which even has an 'ebay authorised' stamp on the nochex checkout page.

see the top thread here http://greenroom.nochex.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8

Yes, I am a bit confused. eBay definitely have the rule on their site yet they allow Nochex to operate, apparently in contravention of it. I hadn't seen that checkout system before.
I'd feel happier if Nochex (which I do use) had a mention on the eBay site to legitimise it, otherwise I think it will run as long as eBay want it to.

So they exclude all online payment systems except ones specically authorised. Checking the allowed forms of payment we find the list of approved online payment methods which just so happens to be paypal (and no others). :(:(
  • try using Paypal Pro.. its good.. other options are google checkout and worldpay..
