Orange sim card broken within 24 hours of registering

Hi

Just registered new phone and sim with £10 last Saturday, and next day when switched on it says "insert sim".

I have just been on the phone for the last 30 minutes to Orange and they won't send out a new one, I'll have to go into a shop and buy one they say. Is that right? Don't they have a warranty with sim cards?

If I get a new sim, is it possible to get your credit back, or do you loose you credit?

Get a free Orange SIM here and then transfer your number/account onto the new SIM.

Thanks for that link, the orange rep said I have to go in to an Orange shop and buy one for £1, and the hassle of a 30 mile round trip.

The main thing is will the credit also transfer without hassle. Initially I had to go to the shop to get the airtime added. Orange 450 would credit the phone.

You can definitely transfer credit between Orange SIMS that are registered in your name. This is what you do when buying a new PAYG handset.
