We have had this conversation on here already not long ago....you have to offer paypal but you get around this rule by stating that if paying by paypal item will be sent by courier to comply with paypal seller protection policy, get a quote on what will cost or state cost of this will need to be negotiated after sale. Most people will want to collect rather than pay for delivery anyway so it just shuts the door in any potential scammers face.

Unfortunately, you could get the Quuen to sign your receipt, and it would count for nothing with PP.

    S'gotta be proof of delivery.
Maybe not, but proof on the balance of probabilty will satisfy the county court judge ;)

I noticed on one add that someone asked for 100 by pay pal then the rest on collection is that a good idea?
It helps avoid the timewasters who like to bid but have no intention of paying. At least they are relieved of £100 for a short while, or otherwise become apparent immediately what their game is.

But if you don't supply, paypal will refund the buyer of any money paid.
Of course you wouldn't supply without receiving payment in full would you.

Be aware a con artist could reclaim the £100 at any time without proof of delivery, so if you go this route, I would suggest you refund the buyer at some point and ask them to pay in full in cash.

The bidding went through, buyer came to see it a couple of hours before bidding ended.
They are paying £50 into pay pal and the rest on collection tomorrow.
