Three repairs
I wondered if anyone else has had this problem. My DD is on a contract with 3 and we had to make a claim for a lost phone. This was done in January 2009 and a new phone was received direct from their insurance company. The phone developed a fault not long after and this was repaired F.O.C. by 3.
It then developed another fault, although intermittent and again it was sent away to 3 through their now new shop in town. Came back as no fault found and we have now discovered they never checked for the reported fault.
Move on to last week and the phone is faulty again. However, 3 shop scanned the phone and have told us that it is a Phones 4 U phone and they will not do anything with it. They told me that it should never have been looked at by them at all and the insurance company will have to sort it out. I phoned the insurance on Friday and was told they would deal with the repair but when the envelope and paperwork arrived there is a £25 excess to pay. This was never explained to me. Phoned them an they were not able to give me an explanation as to why all of this has gone on and it is going to cost £25. They just kept saying taht there was always an excess to pay with them.
Thanks for reading if you've got this far. Do we have any recourse?

Depending on which make of phone it is, you could track down a service centre (e.g CPW or other independent) and have them repair it under warranty. Show them your details to prove when you got it.0
