Thanks to the posters who posted about hovering around the SS tills for pinkies. I hovered in three westend stores making minimal purchases and managed to srounge 10 pinkies, total value 50pounds. So I am very very happy. I could have easily gone up to twenty pinkies but knew I would not be able use that much No 7 stuff. Honestly it is like a gold mine on Oxford street as there are about four stores up there with SS tills.

I actually had no shame and looked on the floor particularly around the sides of the SS pretending I had dropped my receipt, in that way I could pretend I had picked up the wrong one and kept checking the receipts on the floor until I had found a pinkie.

Went in today looking for the sun cream! Anyway - when I got into Boots completely forgot what one I was looking for!:p I did spot a bargain at the till tho - Basildon has mini's by one lot of tills - and Johnsons head to toe wash label said 1p!!! (only 2 left - sorry nabbed them both) anyway - went through the till at 0p and the cashier let me have them! Might be worth checking out at other branches.

I'm surprised they still have these. We were getting them last year for 1p:Dwell done for getting them for 0p :)
  • Hi, so still no reduced no7 working for me, had my favourite sa trying her absolute best and still no luck also points voucher bleeped too and seeing as ive got loads of stash still i really do not fancy spending more than pennies on anything any suggestions ive tried stayperfect lip laquer and lipstick, mascara, highlights powder eyeshadow etc lol . Must say all my sas were willing to try but to no avail. Any birmingham bootsers had any luck anywhere? Looks like i will probably be giving these away if i cant get my bargains.
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)
  • Apart from the chance to win £1000 (I think) is there any other benefit to doing these surveys?

Well I think If you name (or describe) your SA they get some kind of reward or praise or something??
Mine totally deserves it! we were there for absolutely ages and she was supposed to be going on her lunch break, bless her! :o

I'm new to Bootsing but was inspired by this thread, so had a good browse around Cardiff store today and wombled one £5 voucher from Self Service, thanks for the tip!
I'd been looking for a small hard glasses case, so I used it to get a No7 one which was £6, for £1 :)

Then I found in the Boots mag a 100 pt voucher if you spend £5 on 17 Cosmetics!

As I'd gone in for £4.20 17 blush I went back and found some lovely metallic eye colour in a pencil for £3.71 (there were cheaper things to make up the £5, but I've got enough nail varnish!). Then because I spent £5 on 17 I got a Bronzer GWP palatte (which wasn't enough to make me spend £5 for on its own, but hey, it was free). And they gave me another 'rosie'.

So am quite chuffed with my stash, all in all!

managed to use the R&M half price lipstick and a rosie on a lippy today, so got it for 50p also got a R&M mascara brush that was £4 and used rosie, so nothing to pay, sent DD wombling, although she sneaked a white cardboard one from near the till and it was what the sa's use! not sure what for though  A few TB and FCUK minis left of things in Hull prospect too.

must say I wasn't impressed when a male shelf stacker, that was blocking the aisle so we couldn't get through, hissed at DD to stop touching things, she had picked a sanctary salt soap bar up and was trying to sniff it, she said 'pardon' and he wouldn't answer her:eek: so strange:rolleyes:
