Im permanently bigger than most women are for the few months when they get preggers, but I'd get a fine and they wouldn't.0 -
Absolutely not! My daughter was in a wheelchair for only 4 months but we encountered blatant misuse of parking spaces designated for disabled, never mind people actually blocking access which is far worse. Unless you have been in this situation, you cannot understand how impossible it is, particularly when other people are not considerate to your needs and use plain common sense......0

I alway park in disabled bays, or to be honest park on double yellows and use her diasabled badge. I would not expect someone else to have to decide wether to use the parking bay behind me.
As an aside to all this.... Can anyone here ecplain to me why it is unsafe for able bodied drivers to park on double yellow lines but safe for disabled drivers to do so?0 -
Absolutely not. It makes me mad when people park very close to me in a parent and child space and I can't get my little one in the car seat without being a contortionist!0

The disabled vehicle needing two spaces should have parked in a priviledged space such as a marked disabled space or on double yellows.0

I would park in the space, the car can always pull forward to load the wheelchair. Disabled drivers can park just about anywhere anyway and there are never enough normal spaces but loads of empty disabled spaces.0

No I would not. My brother had a disabled friend who was in a wheel chair. We all went shopping one day and all the disabled parking was taken. My brother went to look and found NONE of the cars had disabled badges. His friend parked behind a car, blocking it in and we all went shopping. Half hour later we returned to a very angry man wanting to know why we blocked him in. The man didn't at first see we had someone in a wheel chair. When he did he went the brightest shade of pink I've ever seen and went very sheepish.0

I did this once, BY ACCIDENT! and they left me a nasty note and keyed my car....which I still havent been able to afford to get removed 18 months on!'It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection' Elizabeth Gilbert.

I would - probably
If the space I am parking in is marked as disabled, then no... I wouldnt park in a disabled space.
If the space they are in is marked disabled, and mine ISNT then yes - surely they have themselves parked inconsiderably to allow this situation?
If neither space is disabled then I would park.0 -
That's just wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong!0
