                    Hello all!
I go away to Canada in two weeks time, and as a first time flyer I admit I'm both nervous and excited for it The thing is I have one or two quick questions about a few things before I head off.
The thing is I have one or two quick questions about a few things before I head off.
I booked my flight via ebookers and grabbed me a return through Air Transat, but all Canada flights are dealt with by Thomas Cook Airlines (after reading a few forum threads I hear they seem pretty decent). I know it may sound obvious enough but just to clear up my confusion- when I go to check in at the airport would I check in at Thomas Cook's desk or not?
Another thing is I've noticed Thomas Cook has a pretty small carry on limit of 43 x 28 x 23 cm (17 x 11 x 9 in.) - Can anyone recommend a decent carry on bag to use that I'd be able to slip most valuables and a laptop into at those dimensions? I've seen a few forumites give a few suggestions in other threads but I couldn't find anything I need (unless I overlooked it! :rotfl:)
Also I've picked up a Caxton Global card to help manage the majority of my spends- has anyone used this to pay for hotels yet? I've got a room reserved with my Halifax visa electron but I was just wondering if I'd be able to get away with having that scanned for security checks before paying with my pre paid one
I appreciate any help!

            Hi,
I've been to Canada a few times and used Air Transat once. They have a fairly comprehensive web site that should answer all your questions about checking in etc. Have a good time.0

 Hi
Yes, just come back from Italy (Hot, hot hot......) and used my Caxton card to pay the hotel bill. Don't use it to reserve the room 'cos they will block a large amount of your money that's on the card - use a normal credit card instead - just ask to pay with a different card when you check out.Tighter than a ......

Have a look at websites such as Kayak and Opodo. Of course you can fly first class, just tick that option instead of searching for economy seats.0
