After seeing how much documentation they wanted, I ended up closing my PP account and opening a new one in my married name. This was 3 years ago and no problems so far, fingers crossed!:j30/7/10:j

I tried to add it but the field that had my surname in wasn't one that you could change. I'll give it another go and see what happens.0

Would registering the same bank account details eg 12345678, but with the 'changed surname' still work with Paypal?
Don't want Paypal flagging the account up at a later time to say Miss A and Mrs B are different people.
What happens if you 'have to open a new one/two new ones' with the corrected surname, but can't close the 'old ones' with the maiden name for at least 1 year in case of disputes, chargebacks, as in theory a person can only have 2 pp-1 personal, 1 premier, would opening 4 pp-2 personal, 2 premier, (2 married name, 2 maiden name) be against the rules?0 -
Now that I think back, I used a different bank account to open the the PP account. I can't remember if I had to wait to close the old account, but it definitely wasn't anywhere near a year.:j30/7/10:j

I contacted paypal earlier this month because I do not have any photo ID to have my surname changed. They responded within 24 hours saying that without the photo ID my only choice was to close my account and then open a new one.
I dont know about the chargebacks over ebay, but as they where really helpful I would suggest you email them.0
