  • Itas already been through customs according to the tracking thing online.

Its £160 worth. The seller has emailed me and said that i need to go and pick it up from my local post office because they only deliver once  Does she mean sorting office? Its USPS she sent it with.

I'll get on the phone today and find out whats going on.

    Thanks again

I had a USPS item and it came in via parcefarce, IIRC.
Might be worth tracking it through their site.

Sounds like you are being charged import duty, which would make sense if it is an expensive item.
  • Sorry if i sound really dim but whats that? I've never brought anything from over seas before :o

The reciever I think is responsible for paying custom charges so I doubt it. Really you should have thought about taxes when you brought the item. Its alright buying a cheap item that has little tax/custom charge to pay and often it can be marked as a gift. But £160? To be fair Parcel Force are going to pass the money on to the government so its not Parcel Force's fault!

As others say, USPS parcels with customs charges usually go to parcelforce.

They send an email saying they tried to deliver ...but they haven't. They won't attempt to deliver until the charges are paid. Contact the courier who sent the email, not the seller - there's not much the seller can do being about 2000 miles away.
