Sounds to me like you are not using enough water. What recipe are you using?0

think it was the recipe from the book but with a bit less water as people recommended. You know its got me thinking if it is the yeast that was out of date or not fresh.I just realised I had been keeping it in a sealed container. of my own.i thought i had bought new last time i tried-but i may not have..0

I always use slighly more water than it states in a recipe because it makes the bread slightly softer. If you are using less than it suggests then that is probably your answer. Try the recipe using the amount of liquid it says plus perhaps an extra 10mls and see what happens. I bet it solves the problem!0

We have had a similar problem with our bread maker. It's brand new - as of two weeks ago - and it's already wasted us four loaves of bread. When we first got it it worked perfectly - no problems at all. But the past week it has not fully risen and there is flour at the bottom each time. The outside is well - cooked but the inside is still half-baked dough. We thought at first it was our quantity of flour, water, or yeast but this last time we measured really carefully (using ounces even like the pamphlet that the bread maker came with said to us) and it still didn't come out. (We are also using bread flour and dry milk like asked) We didn't buy the warranty and are worried that our bread maker could somehow already be broken after 2 weeks of use? Any suggestions?0

What is the exact make that you have? Are you using fresh ingredients-esp. flour and yeast?0 -

The order you put the ingredients in is also very important0 -
What make is it?
Although you didn't buy a waranty normally an electrical item like a breadmaker will come with one anyway. For example the Panasonic site states that their breadmakers come with a 1 year warranty. So if you bought it new and it has broken within 2 weeks it should still be under warranty.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons0 -

Our make is the SD-YD250 and we haven't changed our flour or yeast at all between the breads that did rise and the breads that didn't..0
