Looking for hifi with DAB, CD, iPod dock

Looking for a small unit with all of these features.
I found Technika MC-109DAB on Tesco's website. What's the quality of their stuff like?
Also found a Philips model for about £85.
I've seen inspiRED DAB Micro Hi-FI mentioned on these forums but can't find the product specification on the net.
I'm not too knowledgable on the technical details, all I know is I want it to have the three features mentioned (DAB tuner, CD deck, and iPod docking facility). The two things I need to know really are which brands are recommended/to be avoided, and what level/quality of sound I'll get out of different speaker outputs.

I don't understand: "£85 nope" ? Do you mean spend more than £85 on a hifi?0 -
Indeed considerably more.
The Pure Avanti Flow is very good, I have one, it does not have a CD drive but with an i-pod dock you don't really need one. Its wifi as well. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I'm not sure if you're aware, but you can connect the earphone socket of an iPod to a phono input on a hi-fi (assuming it has one) -- you don't necessarily need a proper dock. It's not as elegant-looking as a dock, but it might widen your choice of equipment...0

My wife has this one.

Managed to get it for £159 which was a bargain from JL. Better than anything else I looked at in price range.0 -

Interesting replies, thanks. I probably don't want one enough to spend over £100, so if there isn't good value under that price I might just get a cheaper DAB clock-radio!0

You can but it sounds carp. A dedicated dock will sound better but you'll never get hi-fi sound out of either an iPod or a unit that costs £100.0 -

This looks like it has good sound output for its size and price. The only flaw is it doesn't have DAB tuner. Is it possible to connect a DAB radio through the Audio input? Or is the stereo not good enough to be worth going to that bother?0 -
Quality will probably be terrible. If you want to fill even a small room, you do need to spend a decent amount of money. Good HiFi costs good money. On the flip side, if you're planning to listen to mp3's at low bitrate, even a good system can't get good quality out. If you do decide to rip CD's, rip at the highest bitrate and save to a non lossy format. It's the only way to keep the quality.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0
