I'm so glad to hear things are going well for you - how exciting to be in the early days of a relationship - you deserve some fun. I'll miss reading your updates if you don't post as often, but I'm pleased that it's for all the right reasons, and that you are getting on with life. Take care and don't forget to pop in sometimes for a chat or if you need a bit of support.

Sorry to hear about the car though - they're a pain aren't they?

    Hooray! What lovely news!

I'm so glad to hear things are looking up for you. It was about time you met someone who appreciates and deserves you and he sounds like a good 'un.

I'll miss you if you're not about so much, don't take your eye of the debt completely and post now and again so we know how you're doing.

    Hi everyone

I've paid my Debenhams card today so that means i've met my £800 target (actually exceeded it by £65.39 :j ) WELL DONE!!!!!

I've met someone, through friends, in fact they set us up and although its early days im having a great time... I can't seem to get the smile off my face :o it makes such a change from being boring and miserable all the time. Its so nice having someone who asks about my day and how im feeling and takes 5 mins out his day to text me :DDOUBLE WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!

My car went in for its service and its not good news. It needs a new timing belt, a wheel bearing and some leak needs fixed... worst case scenario is its going to cost £800.00 to get it fixed  It's going into the garage on Wednesday to get the repairs done i have £400.00 in my car account, £30 in my bank account, £125 saved for xmas and if it comes to it im going to have to use my Skycard as its the only one i have any money on. [STRIKE]TRIPLE WELL [/STRIKE] OH B*LL*CKS. TOUGH LUCK HON, STILL, AT LEAST YOU HAVE SPACE ON YOUR SKYCARD X

    Hey

Thanks for your lovely posts. I can hardly believe whats happened in the last two weeks... i didn't think it was possible. I've not been keeping as up to date with things as id like but i have managed not to do anything really stupid so its all ok!!!

Anyway i have remembered its the 1st of the month so its update time :o here's the worst of it:

    OVERDRAFTS:

    ALLIANCE & LEICESTER £-259.08 now £-244.85 (paid £14.23)
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £-985.06 now £-950.00 (paid £35.06)

    TOTAL OVERDRAFTS OUTSTANDING: £-1244.14 now £-1194.85 :j (total paid £49.29) :j

    CREDIT CARDS:

    BARCLAYCARD £4914.02 now £4962.09
    DEBENHAMS £1840.00 now £1810.00
    MBNA £4564.03 now £4546.41
    MORGAN STANLEY £1980.00 now £1960.00
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £9780.00 now £9708.00
SKY £1730.00 now £1920.26  i had to use £220.26 towards my car repairs
    TESCO £2300.00 now £2280.00

TOTAL CREDIT CARDS OUTSTANDING: £27108.05 now £27186.76 (increased by £78.71  )

TOTAL AMOUNT OUTSTANDING £28352.19 now £28381.61 (increased by £29.42  ) all because of my stupid car

    SAVINGS:

DUNFERMLINE £51.00 now £141.00 (used £100 to pay my gas bill) (this is for my house, tv licence, insurance etc)
HALIFAX £240.00 now £40.00 (this is for my car, road tax, insurance, service, MOT etc) (i took £360.00 out of this account to pay towards my car repairs. It has been serviced and fixed now so just need to save for the road tax, MOT and insurance and probably more repairs)
WORK ACCOUNT £100.57 now £125.57 (savings for xmas £25 comes out of wages every month for this. It will pay for food, xmas nite out, an outfit and birthday / xmas presents)
Other works account £51.65 now £60.15 (this is used for postage for ebay)

    TOTAL SAVINGS £483.22 now £366.72 used £116.50

Well its not as bad as i thought it was going to be. Its not that great either i paid over £800 towards my debts but due to my car my total debt has increased by £29.42

My car cost £520.26 to get fixed which was so much better than the £800 that they had quoted me so i was happier about that but it was still £520.26 that i could have done without spending! The worst thing about it is that when i was driving home 2nite the coolant gauge isn't working properly so i had to take it back to the garage tonight but they couldn't find any problem so it needs to go back into the garage on Tuesday.... they better not charge me for it cause there was no problem with it before it went into them last week.

Things are going really well relationship wise. Its been so nice just spending time with someone who wants to be with me and that keeps in touch just sending me texts to see if im having a good day and to tell me he's thinking about me. I can't take the smile off my face :D I can't believe i only met him under 2 weeks ago it feels like i've known him for ages.

Im seeing him again 2moro and i cant wait :D

Im not going to have as much extra this month so really don't see me meeting my £800 target but will just need to wait and see. I haven't bothered much with anything over the last 2 weeks but managed to get all my unsold items relisted on ebay on Thursday as it was cheap so have 254 items listed and 2 of them selling already for 99p each :T

 June target £800.00 money put aside £304.41 money still to find £495.59:rolleyes:

Well im off to bed now will try and update again soon

Had a good weekend so far and have just spent today catching up on normal things like tv, washing and tidying up.

Really need to get some ironing done but i so cant be bothered :o but don't really have that many clothes to wear so i suppose i better do some of it.

I emptied my piggybank today and mangaged to get £11.01 out of it so am putting it into my Alliance and Leicester account. I've also paid £28.09 towards my Barclaycard.

 June target £800.00 money put aside £304.41 money paid £39.10 money still to find £456.49

The other thing i forgot to mention is that its been 59 days since i last gambled :T :T :T and the thought hasn't crossed my mind in a long time... i've even been forgetting to mark up the calander beside the pc

Hey i know its so strange. If you had told me a few months ago that my life would have changed this much i would have laughed and not believed a word of it.

Im going to have to do it.. my minimum payments are more than this figure so will need to find it from somewhere  The new man knows that i don't have much spare cash but has no idea about the extent of my debt and its early days yet so im not at the stage im going to share it... don't want him running off just yet :p

As for doing car boot sales don't think it would interest him at all... he likes his expensive clothes... he turned up the other nite in a jacket that cost £120 and there was me sitting in my £2.50 jumper out of asda :o but we did have a laugh about it. He still lives with his parents and when he's not working or seeing me then he's out with friends so am not going to get into the money debate with him... its far too soon for that.

Although i have told him about this website :D

I've still got my list of debts up along with my £800 target sheet pinned to the board beside my pc so its not like i've hidden it away and if he asked me about it i'd tell him. I did take them down before he came over the 2nd time but i put them back up as i need the motivation of seeing them every day.

Hmmmm, now I wonder if he has some old £120 jackets he doesn't wear any more. If so, you could kindly offer to take them to Oxfam for him....

now i never thought of that.... i will maybe ask next time i see him :p

the only good thing is he is quite happy to sit in and watch a dvd rather than go out all the time... he has quite a collection of dvds so i dont need to worry about that either... i just need to supply the food
