Hi  can I join?
I'm a July 2011 bride too, we get married on 9th July in Whitby.
The church and the reception venue are booked and the saving has begun! However in the meantime i'm 6 months pregnant so we have 2 big events to save for and are a little worried about saving when I go on SMP.
But we're being positive :cheesy: and trying to find the best buys we can for the perfect day.
I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and chit-chat with you all!

We got engaged and have been planning since May this year but we had an engagement party at the weekend so it feels really real now!!! We have ceremony and reception venues booked and are also trying to get it done on a mega budget!! So far we know the food, I have an idea of the dress and BM dresses....and that's about it really!!!
Looking forward to planning with you all and picking up lots of MSE tips!Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Hi everyone!
I'm loving the dresses! I decided to go shopping alone to narrow down my dress choices and then invite mum, sister etc to see the favourites. That all went out the window when I found a dress I liked in a sale and bought it on the spot! I am really nervous how my mum will respond as she is away for two weeks so I couldn't show it to her. I'm also a bit worried about whether it suits me as I couldn't get a second opinion.
I will put a picture up when I find one! (have put them in my diary- link in my sig!) It was more of a meringue than I had planned but since it was £200 down from £960 I was able to treat myself to a second more practical dress for after the service! Got that one for £100 in debenhams. I bought that one on the spot too as it was slightly shop soiled so I persuaded them to give me a discount. Now I just have to figure out if I can clean it without doing a professional dry clean.
I'll need to spend out a bit more on the church dress to get it altered.
Hope everyone's plans are going well!
I'm not sure how far in advance to get it done though.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Hi, another July 2011 bride here! July 16th to be exact!
I'm wondering what stage everyone is at in their planning? We've booked the venue, it's a civil ceremony so everything is in the same place. We've also booked the photographer but that's it!
I've made some appointments to try dresses on over the bank holiday weekend but I'm getting a bit scared that I should have done more! I'm the first one in my friends to get married so I have no one to ask about this stuff!
Thank you!0 -
Ingela- there are lots of magazines and wedding web sites that have a rough countdown to what to do when. Sorry I can't be more specific at the moment but I don't have any to hand!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0
