i think i might be a july 2011 bride...

i say i think because nothing is booked yet, we need to have a second meeting with the vicar to see if we can have the church and our chosen venue has 3 saturdays available in july... so hopefully it will be one of them, im thinking the 9th... but that could all change

and of course... we arent officially engaged until later on today! lmao

Have narrowed it down to 2 dresses! Just waiting for my friend to visit at the end of the month so she can help me make the final decision!

I plan to start looking soon and I'm terrified I'll fall in love with one worth thousands!

i have to admit that the dresses i love are slightly over budget, so I'll be doing some extra weekends at work to pay for it! Luckily the shop I went to displayed the prices on all the dresses so I could avoid the ones that I knew I'd never afford.

We've got our appointment to give notice at the end of the month. It's all starting to feel real now!

Did you take someone with you or go it alone?

I took my best friend with me the first time and then went on my own to try on the 2 dresses I'd narrowed it down to. Going again at the end of the month when another friend is visiting to make the final decision and order it etc.
I don't have a mum to take with me and all my close friends are in London and I'm in Somerset, so it was complicated arranging appointments around my friends visiting but I'm glad I took someone with me as it was nice to be able to discuss the dresses afterwards.

I'm not sure whether to go alone and narrow it down first. My mum, sister etc will want to come but I'm worried I'll feel pressured to spend more and that mum will end up offering to pay. I thought if I find a few I like in the right price range then I can take them along to help me choose
