Hi People
As you know orange charge for calling a 0800 no . My mobile can be contacted via a 0800 which diverts to me . Does anyone know of a mobile operator which is free dial 0800 numbers . It would be great moneysaving for the family if my mrs could phone me for free

I think you are right with the title of the thread - it isn't free - if you get an 0800 number that diverts to your mobile, then you pay to divert the calls. And no UK mobile network has free 0800 calls any more0
-
If your paying for the 0800 to divert to mobile, surely it would cheaper all round for your wife to call your mobile direct from another Orange Phone.0
-
Im not paying for the 0800 hence why it would be good to access via a mobile .something missing0

pre-dial have a relatively unknown dial through access number
0200 222 0900 (Its a normal 020 geographical landline number and is charged accordingly).
If you dial it and then dial the freephone number it will put you through it only works solely for freephone numbers. It will also connect you to Intl freephone numbers. This means you Mrs could dial your freephone number out of her inclusive mobile 01/02 landline minutes without being charged.( It could also be cheaper to use from a Payg phone then dialling freephone direct).0 -
Shall give that wizz and see how it goes .

i read on another forum 0200 222 0700 can be used too.
Can people confirm from their itemised bills that the 0200 numbers use time from inclusive minutes?
Thanks, just don't want to risk running up a mega bill!!!0 -
Yes, from inclusive minutes. It's effectively a London number0

At Evenings and Weekends if you have x-net minutes you can also use
http://www.pre-dial.com/ 02 access number, click on free destination list for details.0 -
Why get hung up (sic) on charges for 0800 numbers when all mobile operators charge the equivalent of a voice call charge of around £2.00 per minute (10p x 3 sec transmit) to send a text message!!!
And how many have you sent today??
No wonder they want to encourage text messages as it costs practically nothing in network time and makes a huge profit.
Shouldn't we be targeting text message prices as a priority?Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you'll have...a penny.0
