My Orange Signal Problem?!
Hi All,
I've just got a HTC Hero on a 24month contract with Orange.
I found out that I have no signal at my workplace and I have a weak signal at home also. 90% of my time is at work and I cant even recieve or send out anthing! and in some cases its the same at home!
Ive had it for 5 days now and I have been telling Orange multiple times to terminate my contract, but they say its not a liable reason to terminate.
I'm awaiting a response from Ofcom aswell to see if I have any rights for contract termination.
Do I have any rights guys???
Thanks for your time

No network guarantees they can give you coverage in all places, and they all have coverage predictors, but they are just predictions.
If you got it in a shop or as an upgrade you are probably out of luck. If you asked in store and told them the locations and they said you had good coverage then you may have a case though.
If you bought it online you can return it under the DSR rules.
Sorry, OFCOM probably can't help you, you are expected to have checked you could use it before you bought it, or at least asked. It may be worth trying another Orange phone in both places, theres a chance it's a fault on the phone or the phone needs a good signal, many smartphone need a 3G signal more than the 2G to shine, and you may get OK voice coverage but not much data coverage. Moving the phone to 2G mode (read the manual!) may help with the voice and texting, but wn't help with the data settings.
Wish is was more posative, sorry,0 -
