Clock

Just come across this thread after doing a search for clock.
I've noticed that the time showing on my 6 year old Tosh satellite running XP SP3 is exactly one hour slow. This is the second time in 10 days that this has happened. The first time I had been celebrating the grape for a few days beforehand and thought that B.S.T. might have finished early this year but in the cold light of sobriety, it would appear that this is not the case.
Would a low cmos battery give these symptoms or is it time to pension it off ?0 -
yes, cmos battery again, more of a pig to do on a Laptop thoughEx forum ambassador

It would be very unusual for these symptoms to be caused by a failing CMOS battery - generally you get fairly random changes to date/time, not an error of exactly one hour.
It looks like something or someone has been changing either your time zone or daylight savings setting in Windows.0 -
