is it slow?
does it change at all
ie if you shut it down at 10 pm and turn it on the next morning does it still say 10 pm?
if so it may be the CMOS battery
easy and cheap to buy and easy to replace if your not affraid to crack open your tower. plenty of guides around with a quick googleBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Sounds like the cmos battery as mentioned cheap and easy to replace0

Before changing battery try removing the synchronize option.0

Do you not have a settings option that will keep your computer constantly synchronised (through the Internet) with an online time server - for example time.euro.apple.com ?
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

The default for "constantly" is once a week. It shouldn't be necessary more than this. The British time server pool is at uk.pool.ntp.org0 -

the windows time servers was a bit flaky for me a few months ago so I changed to one of the nist servers and it seems to be ok...0

I guarantee it's either a laptop OR you disconnect your PC from the mains when your not using it (something you shouldn't be doing).
CMOS battery all the way.
UK public time servers you can use, and I use.
1.uk.pool.ntp.org
2.uk.pool.ntp.org
3.uk.pool.ntp.org
4.uk.pool.ntp.org
My PC's are set (via some registry tweeks) to update/sync every 6 hours, which is purely because my PC updates my phone time and my phone time has been used to argue several instances of lateness where some "clever" sod randomly changed the clocking machine at work (by upto 3.5 minutes) in order to stop people queueing at the machine at the end of each shift (and to catch out people like me who turn up for a 5am start at 4:59am).
No matter how self important the HR manager, he can't argue with GMT and a self generated spreadsheet showing GMT v's clock time for every single day of the last 2 years

Er, excuse me, but the OP wrote nothing that indicates what operating system and what type of computer he or she is using.
Why do you just assume that it's Windows and a PC ?
