Went out for a free (ish) day trip, visited a nearby Abbey and Lakes with the intention of going for a long walk...was very muddy though so ended up going to the nearest town for a wander....Found a parking spot on the road, so did not pay the car park charge.
Did some food shopping on the way home in Farmfoods (really cheap there - love it!), which should last us a couple of weeks.
Visited my Mum, and used her hoover to clean the car on the driveway, instead of the garage forecourt one.
Packed up some stuff to sell in a car boot tommorow (first one ever!), and borrowed a folding table from MIL.
Not going out tonight as early start in the morning, so just ate some oven cooked Pizza's and going to watch VanWilder on DVD (borrowed from a friend again)! Hope its good! All in all a cheap but a nice day!0 -
good luck at the car bootie Dr Lou - dont forget to take a flask and sandwiches - at the last one I did I ended up spending most of the profits on food

MMM, let me think, I bought a present for my FIL's birthday, a cherry tree from Homebase for £4.99 Bargain or what?? all their fruit trees are reduced to £4.99 a the moment, they had plum, apple, cherry and pear, they are about 1.5 metres tall so a good gift that won't need to be wrapped up.
I weakened a little in M & S and treated myself to a few bargains, they had some drastically reduced items, I got a navy wrap cardigan/shrug for £3.00, a Per Una Brown polka dot skirt for £7.00 and a cream silk short sleeved Victorian blouse for £7.00, this came with a plain cotton camisole underneath so it will be handy. The original prices were about £100 and I got it for £17.00!!! I was thinking about Ebaying them but clothes don't seem to be getting very good prices at the moment so I'll probably keep them. :j
I then spent £11.61 in Tesco. I have also volunteered to work tomorrow at double pay so I'll earn £105 extra this month, I've been doing all the hours under the sun to pay the Council Tax to try and stop paying it every month, I'm aiming to do it in two lots.
Dinner was four reduced chinese items from Tesco that I'd collected and frozen over the last few weeks to get enough for a nice meal.
I also got a slightly sunburnt scalp today  (I'm not bald, I just have very fine hair!!
) A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
one life, live it!0
