What Have You Done Today That's DFW Stylee? SATURDAY 22nd April

Couldn't see one today...apologies if duplicate.

Got bus to town & back (return ticket - cheaper) instead of faffing about with taxi (car in garage - but OH paying for that as he pranged it!)

I took a bra back to M & S that I got the other week with birthday vouchers. Slightly too big. Previously I would have just put up with it but today I took it back and got vouchers - bought a correct (and very pretty!) replacement and matching undies too :o

I also bought something else which means I spent £7 more in the end :o:o but I was pleased I bothered to take the other item back in the first place. Now I have three items I will use instead of one just occupying space!

Had a home made lunch of a houmous baguette when I got home, instead of spending money in town on rip off food.

Got body lotion on half price offer in Boots.

Put BACK a gorgeous skirt I tried on it John Lewis. I guess I should be poud of my increasing will power though!

Have done three loads of washing & got them dry on the line - no tumble dryer required today!!

Off to make a filling but frugal evening dinner now. Hope you have a nice evening all. xx

    Not a lot really...erm

As per usual Ive rinsed my beansprouts!!

Spent almost £50 on paint ladders etc, and my kitchen is lovely now ready for my new lodger. I justify this ( thinly) as It probably saved us £200 on getting someone else to do it, lame excuse I guess, Id have never paid anyone to do it!!

Off to tesco now and its my week to buy. Hopefully there will be plenty of yellow labels kicking about, although I doubt it at this time.

Falling off the wagon a bit at the mo I fear...
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Bought 3 bottles of wine for a tenner instead of 4 quid each! ;)

    Does that count?

    Don
  • I've just cooked a chicken curry and froze it ready for next week. Chicken was on its best before date today and I'd normally have chucked it (we're going out tonight so wouldn't have eaten it).

Not done a great deal today as felt a bit grotty all day, feeling bit better now though and ready for some wine lol
Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!

I have listed some more stuff on amazon, spent £2.70 on lots of fruit from local market, going to make some nice fruit bread tomorrow to freeze.

Lunch was a bowl of aldi benefit flakes with strawberrys, wasn't very hungry, so they did the job! The flakes are only 99p and are quite nice.

And I'm staying in tonight and cooking dinner, not feeling too good, so it will just be easy jacket spuds, cheese and beans, nice and cheap too!

I've not gone down the pub! Sob sob! :-(

I know if I go I'll end up there the whole night!

Instead friends and I watched DVDs and played poker last night (sadly not for real money! LOL).
