Help with contacting correct Orange department

Am after some advice please. I was recently on holiday in Turkey and while there a medical problem required me to travel home early. our reps were not very helpful in sorting out flights (would only put us on their own company flights which were 3 days later) so I used my mobile to look up our alternatives.
I knew this would be more expensive than data at home but have now received a bill with 13mb data for £109. Along with the roaming costs of calling to arrange flights etc my bill is over £170 (normally a £30max monthly bill).
I called billing last week in a panic as just don't have this money to pay at present. At the time I wanted to see if there was anything that could be done to spread payments etc. but the advice given was to default on paying then speak to creditors to arrange a payment plan. which i really don't want to do as never missed a payment in the 9yrs i've been with them.
When looking on the Orange website I see that if I had planned on using data abroad I could of prepaid for 10mb at just under £12. I never use my internet abroad so didn't do this, but then I didn't plan on having to come home early.

I want to see if Orange can apply the travel bundle retrospectively in this instance but from using the 150 menu can not work out who would be best to speak to, billings were not helpful previously (possibly don't have the right level of authority?) and just want a customer service person to review my account and offer advice.
Any ideas?

They won't do it. TBH, I would claim for it on travel insurance as an expense incurred as a result of needing to come home.

Orange will have already been billed by the network you roamed on so it would be too late to try to retrospectively add the bundle, sorry. The idea above is a good one and worth a try...
  • Haven't finished the Travel Insurance claim yet as waiting for some info from holiday company, so could still add it to there and see what they say. DH and my MIL have offered to help pay the bill, so shouldn't need to default on the payment.
