HTC Hero/G2

That's the one complaint I've seen against it that doesn't have a comeback. Fortunately I can't stand phone cameras so I'm not even a little bit concerned. The camera is good enough to do barcode scanning for those apps that do price-checks so I'm happy with that
.
Barcode scanning?! That's cool

Hell yeah man, search YouTube for "Android Scanner Application" (I still can't post links).

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what colour Dialaphone are doing on the Hero? I sent them an email as I really want white but it looks brown or black on the site.
Thanks0 -
I have had the HTC Hero for a couple of weeks now and all I can say is that it is brilliant. I wish I could say the same for Vodafone customer services though....they suck!"Do Good things and good things will happen" - Earl Hickey0

It's graphite. Look on the Orange website, they give the same one.
On a side note, any on the fence about this phone shouldn't be. A lot of the reviews were on the pre production build, which is why it was laggy.
Get a class 6 micro sd card, download task killer and a file manager, and you're set. If that ain't enough, HTC are releasing a firmware update very soon to smoothen the menu transitions, ala iPhone. Then you can take advantage of all great apps. Also, the integration with google services is unrivalled. Compass mode in streetview is amazing. And the hero has the best touch screen keyboard.Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0 -
been "uming and arring" about buying a new phone for a couple of months now and really think I will take the plunge and plump for the hero but has anyone who is using it chosen white?
I think it looks cool and different but none of the high street retailers have them in store so cannot see it in the flesh.
Is it picking up marks easily and looking grubby - teflon coated or otherwise?0 -
I am completely convinced after reading this post. I am going to order it on Orange. Pity the white ones are on Vodafone.
But according to the reviews on the phone, the Orange/T-Mobile HTC Hero has better features than Vodafone's HTC Magic. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket. :rolleyes:0
